I bought this last week. Dual speaker setup with the new additional Echo unit. Had it fitted by the guys from TopGear (UK supplier) so it was a case of drive in and drive out. It is a great system and lots of options on the app. It's not the best system out there but it was the best option for my Tesla. Sadly there is one huge issue that hasn't been addressed by the developers and I'm hoping in time they will adapt and change it making the entire product significantly better. Right now, if I had to make the decision again I wouldn't buy it.
Why ither systems out there are better? I'm always curious to know what's out there there isn't alot of info on any of these systems haha
@@JakeBlackstaffe I spent several weeks in California last month and rented out a Shelby Mach-E. The Borla system fitted to it is fantastic which is what inspired me to get my own fitted to my Tesla Model 3. Unfortunately Borla don't make a system for the Tesla yet which is why I had a look at the alternatives. The Thor system looked best on paper and I purchased it knowing it's flaws. What I do like though is how the Thor team keep developing the app and product which gives me hope that this can be improved very soon.
What is the huge issue?

Hi Mate, are you still enjoying? Do you think it worths? I bought the 2 speakers and it's held in customs, they want a lot of money to free it. Can people hear you coming when it's all loud? Like when you enter a block with a sportbike and everybody looks back toward you? thanks
It's pretty loud, I think it's worth it. But if customa is giving you trouble you gotta way it out hah. Its pretty fun tho!
It's a good start, and I like the idea, but sounds kinda muffled, like it's missing that rasp and dynamic that ICE engines have. Might just be a matter of tweaking the software to you get more high frequencies? I dunno...
They actually added a 3rd speaker to the kit that gives you those high frequency sounds now

Hello, I would like to install the same system on my Tesla model Y. Before I started purchasing the THOR system, I wanted to know where you had positioned the speaker. Under the car, in the trunk, elsewhere ??

The speaker/muffler goes behide the rear tires, I believe thor has an install video on there website that shows you that.

One more : Did you deactivate the Tesla boombox so as not to have two different sounds ? (THOR + Boombox Tesla) 🤔
@K_Redass no need, the.boombox will only have sound when you reverse. And if you don't have the thor system on you are still required to have the reverse sounds

They are a custom 1of 1 wheel made for a tesla by signalurewheel. 20" too
I would not do it but I can imagine some people liking it. The new Dodge Charger EV will come with fake engine sound.
I would only use the ufo or future sound cause it alr sounds like that when u reverse
There are a fee cars have have engine sounds now. But really this is more fun!

It sounds great in person. It's hard to show that over video, if you have headphones on its good. But ya it's really nice in person

@@JakeBlackstaffeexactly 😂 I’m pretty anti ev ( I’m a car enthusiast) but performance teslas are pretty sick. I think it’s a cool idea, it gives the car more emotion and doesn’t make it feel so numb.

If anything, engine noises for EV’s are a good thing. It lets you know how fast you are going and gives the car some emotion.
Ive almost been hit by teslas hauling ass on the highway because i go to change lanes and had no idea because i heard NOTHING. Didnt notice til i saw them
