fitting a side and REAR WINDOWS in a VAUXHALL VIVARO - Van build window installation

- In this video it was a scary moment, I was fitting a side and rear windows in a vauxhall vivaro, so in essence this video is a Van build window installation.
Vivaro side window installation is not a really a bad job, the template is pretty much there from the inside, but still a scary moment doing this to my self built camper
After this, it was time for the vivaro rear window installation - which again wasn't that bad as the template is there from the inside.
All in all, the Vivaro window installation took 5 hours + curing time for the rear windows.
Fitting a side and rear windows in a vivaro has never been considered a job i would undertake, but the whole process was quite straight forward. I also treated the cut areas with silver Hammerite paint.
I purchased the windows from a company on eBay, called Trade glass UK, it came with all the necessary parts for completing the job, including the "U" trim for putting around the panel, once cut.

Hey best of luck fitting the windows, I'm sure you'll be absolutely fine. Just follow the contour. My recent video I have just fitted Windows to my new van, which is pretty much the same process.

Nicely done, sir. Those stick-on windows make life so much easier. As long as you don't cut a hole that's bigger than the glass, you can't go wrong. I hired a pro to fit the old type with rubber seals - they have to be mm perfect and I didn't fancy it. I did two roof hatches - a Fiamma 40cm and a Fiamma 50 cm. They didn't leak so I was chuffed at that.
I have seen recommendations to use/hire a nibbler to cut out the panels. My pro fitter did. Jigsaws and - much more so - a/grinders produce a loadd of steel filings which are difficult to totlly clean out and they rust. I was surprised you went for one side window and two in the back doors.

Hi George. No template supplied, it's just a case of drilling several holes 2 inches apart all around the inner metal frame from inside as I showed. 👍 hope this helps
