Laparascopy is it the only way to find out if a woman has endometriosis? I have lots of fibroids in my uterus, my doctor says they don't interfere with pregnancy... I don't think so 🤔 😕

Unfortunately, I've heard a laparoscopy IS the only true way to diagnose it. I hear stories about women with endometriosis who are in such pain that they can't function, and I definitely don't have that level of pain. But then I hear about "silent endometriosis," and it freaks me out. I have a tipped uterus, and Dr Aimee has said in the past that that can be caused by endometriosis. Then I've heard that getting a laparoscopy can potentially damage the reproductive organs. I'm about to do my first frozen transfer next month and if it doesn't work, I probably will do a laparoscopy.

There is a non-invasive test that doesn't require surgery that can help. Check out: receptivadx.com

Hi Dr Aimee! My TUSHY are normal, but during HSG my doctor faced filling defect throughout the procedure... what’s the reason of that?

good to know! polyp, fibroid, scar tissue can all cause this finding. Ask your doctor to review the images with you and consider a saline sonogram if needed before a hysteroscopy.

Hi Dr. Aimee, I really enjoy watching you, and learning so much, I’m still trying to send you a question on your blog, but my history is to long, anyway I have endometriosis stage 4-5 I couldn’t listen clearly the supplement I should use for that? I had a surgery on 08/2018, got pregnant natural on 10/2019,unfortunately lose my baby stillborn at 20 weeks 1/2020, I did 2 Failed IUI, first IVF with 12 eggs, 8 embryos, 5 blastocyst 3 PGA tested, first transfer one AB which end in a mistar 6 weeks, after did biopsy, MRI, and second transfer AA did not work , now my doctor is going to do hysteroscopy, on the 5/24/21, should I do another laparoscopic in order to clear again the endometriosis that I think is back and remove one endometrioma on my right ovary that it’s causing pain when my period comes?, hope you can answer my questions, thanks you for all that you do, I wish that all the doctors could have the knowledge you have.

www.pureencapsulationspro.com/media/NAC.pdf is the supplement that I was talking about. I hope your transfer is successful. If you are symptomatic and have pain in the right ovary it is a good idea to address it pre-pregnancy.

Hi Dr. I’m scheduled for lap sx soon. I had a femvue a few months back and was originally told my tubes were fine, but after my HSG.. was told there was some blockage. Can HSGs show more or find things that FemVue/Saline test will miss?

I do think the HSG can tell us things that Femvue cannot. The HSG shows the detail of the tube in a way that FemVue cannot.
