I work at Starbucks. The reason the latte isn't flavorful is likely due to the barista being overloaded and cutting corners. The syrup is very thick and was likely not mixed into the espresso well, leaving the syrup at the bottom and not much in the drink.
@@eeveeextreme it depends. For syrups like caramel and vanilla we don't have to mix it in before pouring the liquid because the liquid displaces it throughout. For thick syrups like mocha, pumpkin spice, white mocha, and this November our toasted white mocha and caramel brulee need to be mixed in with the espresso, or a little milk then the rest can go in. Every drink naturally will settle a little bit, that's why I don't like people who get their mobile order drink an hour after placing it. Especially blended beverages. What's your go-to if I may ask?
I also work at Starbucks, I’ve constantly had terrible tasting drinks when I go through to other Starbucks, that’s why I ALWAYS swirl the espresso into the syrup, and since I’m on night shift and don’t have peak, i always try my best to serve quality drinks, rather than focus on efficiency, sure it might take an extra 30 seconds to fix the espresso machine, but I’d much rather have someone wait for quality coffee, than leave with the most bitter tasting coffee

I was a Hooktender for most of that time and I had to climb and top and rig those trees to obtain lift (deflection) to get the logs from the woods to the road. Short story long one method I used to determine a tree's worthiness of the stresses was if'n I could reach around and touch my fingers, it was too small. That was in the Tongass in se Alaska. c1975-1993. All the wild game and seafood is truly what I miss. Also the comradery and brotherhood. The most dangerous job in America by far. Many were combat vets from every war from ww2 Korea and Vietnam. ...adrenaline junkies for sure.

I almost always make sure to mix my drinks after getting them, especially colder ones, because I know the syrup tends to sink to the bottom
