Thank you so much for this video! I have been searching for a product that will help me have beautiful curls and I went and got the don’t shrink gel and it is a game changer! You are a God send 💕
I’m a 16yo with thick 4c hair. I’ve been either rocking a hightop or cutting my hair for 12-14 years ever since I was a baby. When I was a baby my hair used to be a reddish brown. Then because my parents did not want to take care of my hair (because I’m a boy) they (mostly my dad) forced me to get haircuts. They never took care of my hair growing up, expecting me to deal with detangling myself. They did my sisters hair but everyone expected me to just comb my own. So naturally it was nappy, and when it was nappy they made me cut it off. Last year I wanted to define my curls but failed, so my sister (the only one who actually helped my journey) started twisting my hair. I since started getting box braids. And a few months ago on wash day I realized my hair would hang down (only the front since I had a hightop and I’m growing out my sides). I’m beginning to realize my curls couldn’t define because it was too short. Rn my hair is only nose length, but if I grow it to my shoulders i might try this method.
Thank you for sharing your story✨🥺. It’s not fair that you had to get your hair cut off like that and not taken cared of properly. I hope you will be able to define your curls the way you want your hair to look!! It’s a journey of discovery and sometimes it’s not an easy one❤️
@@Kim-ok5tn like I said preference he just might not like the afro look (personally I do am actually returning back to my natural hair ) but let's just respect that people have preferences maybe he prefers that look better if you can change something in your body without causing too much (or any harm) why not, better than living with something you don't like 🤷

Love this product line for you! Your hair is so gorgeous! Unfortunately since my hair is so low porosity and only the curl whip helps me. The don’t shrink flax seed elongating gel leaves white flakes in my hair & the quench leave-in makes my stands feel tangled.
This is lovely ❤ How do you put your hair together when you go to sleep so the curls/styling doesn't come undone? That's something I haven't figured out yet
I put the hair in a silk bonnet and tie in it gently into sections that will make sure I don't kill the curls, then in the morning some of my hair might be shrunken so I have to stretch it out with my fingers and a comb to create its volume
I had grew my hair out but ended up cutting it because it was such a hassle when it came to styling it and finding the right products. Starting January of this year I started to regrow my hair out because I missed it and was casually looking at hair videos and yours was suggested. Turns out I'm already using the Aunt Jackie's leave in conditioner now but I'm using Maximum Hold Gel Styler by MIELLE. But once I'm done with that Joe I am definitely switching to that Flaxseed Curling Gel, keep it all in the family lol. Thank you for the video! ~R~
Did you re-moisturize your hair at anytime during the week? If so, what did you use? I’m wondering if I use a spritz if it would mess up the curl pattern. BTW, thank you so much for this video!!!
So when I sleep I put on a bonnet, I don't braid my hair or anything😅. When I wake up I spray my hair with water to revive the curls and comb them out with my fingers to elongate them or I sometimes stretch it out with a blow dryer using my hands as well

@@Malik-we2tb heyy, my hair did curl but it was not as defined, you could only see the curls upclose and on some parts of my hair ( my hair is both 4B and 4C but mostly 4C) I think using a curling brush would help define it more and it also depends of your hair type, her hair as you can see is leaning more towards 4B (colored typa hair) hence why her curls are more defined. overall the products are quite expensive and didn't give desired results, in my opinion it's not worth it.

It did not get flaky or messy when I used this gel even after a couple of days with the curls. My hair eats up in a lot of product so it does not have room to flake. However with other products and specific gels it flakes so it all goes with the product used.
I tried this .. And some bits of the next morning some bits of the gel that dried up began showing whitish residue in my hair... and my curls are not well defined... plus..my hair isn't so long and since it's natural it shrinks a lot...so one could say I have short hair......I also don't know if I have a type 4 hair or any other hair type.....what do you suggest? what do you think is wrong?😭
Hey girl💗 I feel your frustration🥹. So firstly with having a white residue this may be caused by your hair not taking in the product well, or applying too much of the product on a specific section...or having used a different product before applying the gel that do cooperate with each other. I sometimes saw that using a certain type of moisturizer/leave in conditioner then followed by the gel on my hair creates white residue because of the two product mixtures. Sometimes when my hair is not washed properly or has previous oils or greases from previous hairstyles it can get flakey when I try apply more gel onto it. So best this is to work in clean hair as best as you can for this type of hairstyle. The advice I can give is that make sure your hair is always moisturised & clean, if a certain product makes your hair flake continuously even after swapping out various products, just don't use it again. There are so many natural hair products tailored for type 4 hair that might work best for you and some might not. So we've got room to explore if the resources are there❤️
