About the security checks in China, either subways or train stations, it is all because the USA. You know that there is nothing the BIG Agency won't do.
16:12 There is a green bottle containing hand sanitizer that explains why there isn't a soap cause it's a non-contact way. No people live near the railway because it's noisy and annoying. Some famous tourist attractions in Beijing need to be booked in advance and more security checks. And the metro system might need ID card.
Because China's high-speed railways are often located in mountainous or peripheral areas far away from cities, in order not to affect people's lives. As you can see, most of them are in mountainous areas or farmland. This is because when the government plans high-speed railway routes, they choose places far away from cities to avoid causing more noise and impact on the people. The second point is that high-speed rail is very fast and requires a flatter and safer route. If it is close to the city, the high-speed rail route will have many bends, which is not conducive to its high-speed operation. So, when you do high-speed rail, you often see that it passes through many tunnels, because in order to keep the high-speed rail safer, China tries to keep the route straight as much as possible, which is conducive to fast operation. Therefore, in order to keep it straight, many high mountains must be opened up. So, it is rare to see cities, and high-speed rail routes are usually chosen in places far away from cities.
Iceland is cool (but prices are insane). I got into the country at the airport without passing thru any checks because they were all gone off duty LOL.
Can't wait to watch your future Beijing videos. I have thoroughly enjoyed, each and every one of your China content videos. Thank you for showing us what it is like to travel business class in a high-speed train.
The reason why Uper see less people in scene out of the window, is speed of the train require the railway is closure and a little far away from the village house. And more and more villagers is working in the town in recent years on daytime.
My favorite place in China is Lijiang in Yunnan province, Hangzhou in Zhejiang province, and Zhangjiajie in Hunan Province. If you go there, I think they will surprise you guys.
Hi Jack&Sophie, I am a native of Chongqing, currently living in Chengdu, Sichuan, I have been in Ohio for 6 years. Welcome to my hometown, the wonderful Sichuan and Chongqing region. Herein, I would like to recommend you to visit the Dazu Rock Carvings in Chongqing, the glorious treasure of Chinese stone carving art. I'm sure you will be supurised. Dazu Rock Carvings is located in Dazu District of Chongqing, a very small county town located between the downtown of Chengdu and downtown of Chongqing. Thank you.
Love your spirit, Jack. You and Sophia make a wonderful couple. She is very beautiful. I am glad her father was there as well. Wonderful vid, thank you. Subscribed.
The train you were taking is “Hexie Hao” “ 和谐号”, which can run up to 300km/h; if you take the other version high-speed train “Fuxin Hao” “复兴号” ,which can run up to 350km/h.
America built the Zumwalt, with most supply chains likely located in developed countries, including America, costing approximately $4.24 billion per ship. In contrast, China constructed the Type 055 destroyer, with all supply chains located in China, at a cost of about 6 billion RMB, equivalent to $888 million per ship.
The high-speed train you are riding is not the fastest one. This kind of high-speed train is called "和谐号" 。(meaning national peace and justice), and the fastest operating speed is 300KM/h (white body). The fastest high-speed train is "复兴号" 。(meaning national rejuvenation), and the fastest operating speed is 350KM/h (red and silver body). China's railways generally avoid residential areas (to avoid noise harassing residents and to avoid residents damaging the railways). Maybe for this reason, you rarely see residents, and many of the areas along the way are industrial areas. Another reason may be that the weather is too hot.
Let me correct you, the reason why high-speed rail avoids crowds: 1. Economic cost. After all, land acquisition costs money. 2. Avoid disturbing residents. The sound of high-speed trains is quite loud. 3. Safety. Some elderly people have no sense of safety and will cross high-speed rail lines in order to save trouble.
I used to be hopeless at geography too! All these conflicts helped that sadly! But it's OK to be Geographically Challenged!! Sophia is a 'Keeper' mate! Keep her safe & happy! Enjoying the content!
Ur bulletin train is hexie series which can’t reach 350km, it was first on rail about 20 years ago. Nowadays fuxing series r popular on rails which can reach 350km😅😅😅
Reason you don't see people out of the windows of your HSR, is because HSR's don't rush through city centers which are served by metros😂In densely populated areas it's in tunnels or on bridges for noise reasons. This is logical and same for every country. I don't see why that's strange.
Those trains can go over 425 km/h, but they have restricted it to 350km/h for safety. I once rode one to Shanghai that went a little over 400 km/h. I think it also has to do with the number of stops the train has to make. I’ve also noticed that the trains slow down when at every train station even if it’s not stopping.
I‘m so sorry, you didn't buy the tickets for G52 at half past seven,G52 is the newest smart high-speed train has advanced business class with the same price. The top speed can reached at 350 from Zhengzhou to Beijing.
You took G352, which is one of the slowest trains from Chongqing to Beijing. There are several faster high speed trains from Chongqing to Beijing. G52 and G54 only take 6.5 - 7 hours and run 350 km/h.
G’day mate, 7 yrs in Aus, welcome to CN! Enjoy ur time there. Hopefully you could get to visit my hometown Xi’an (Hsian), we r one of the four ancient cities in the world along with Roma, Cairo n Athens. It’s a MUST VISIT city if u wanna know about five thousand years of history.

China is years ahead of Western countries! It’s growing economically like no other country in the world. In 20 years it will be the richest country in the world.
If you look at the map, you can know China is big. Chinese govt just pay more concentration on improving people’s living in all areas. Western govt just busy on playing political. Visiting more western countries and compare to China, you can find it out by yourself.
Jack and Sophia Please tell us in us dollars the prices of on things there ? Like the price to ride the train ?And just generally the prices in U.S. Dollars , it would be so nice if you could . And a great vlog , Thank you
@curlytop242923 From Chongqing to Beijing, taking high-speed trains will cost you around $117 in the second class, $188 in the first class, and $375 in the business class like Jack took. The journey would be around 7-8 hours. If you take slower trains, the price would be one-fourth of high-speed trains, and the travel time would be 18 to 24 hours.
20:50 with those kinds of scorching sun, most of the Chinese definitely stay inside a shade 😅 wait till the sun comes down and all those people would definitely come out. I think they must be kind of nocturnal human 😁
If it was hot, you should have ask the attendant to adjust the AC. I think they use hand sanitiser instead of hand soap. Btw this train only goes around 300km/hr and not the fastest. The fastest one is another type that can go up to 350km/hr. It’s silver and red in colour
The high speed train you're travelling on won't be running at full speed because it's going through mountains and through tunnels, it will be limited to 250-300km/h.
The Western media has been saying that China is about to collapse since 1989, and 35 years have passed, and I have not seen China collapse, but instead I have seen the Western media change its tone to say that China is engaging in hegemony, and I am a little bit confused as to how this imminent collapse can develop into hegemony.

Can see the good vibe and fun they are having while in China.
I think you are on the older high-speed train, which can go up to 300km/h. The new Fuxing train can go up to 350km/h, maybe even 400km/h.

和谐号不是最豪华的,复兴号才是,复兴号更加安静和舒适.但是价格略微贵一点.因为它停靠的站点少,且更快到达.比如G52和G54,预计7小时多一点.
