    Your review was 99.9% accurate and relevant so ignore the nitpickers who give you an F for not identifying ambient lighting configuration options because frankly, no one cares about such trivial things when buying this car. People who buy a new or used Jaguar SVR vehicle do so for the classic lines, performance and utility as a daily driver. These cars are designed for use on rural open British back country roads winding through hills and dales and they are ultimately vehicles intended to be driven in daily use at both normal and energetic paces while retaining all the space (usability) and providing for the elegant Grace (eye candy style) and exciting Pace (engaging driver oriented dynamics) that is synonymous with the Jaguar brand. The appeal in large part is also the relative rarity of the F-Pace. You won't pull up to a stop light and look over to the left and right and see 2 or more F-Paces in the queue.
    The Jaguar F Pace SVR like the F Type SVR is the pinnacle of the grace, space and pace concept with the emphasis on SPACE over the F Type which emphasizes PACE. This is the perfect all weather - all climate family daily driver for someone who likes the F-Type but has large dogs, and/or needs to carry kids to school and to social events and who needs something that can used in winter and in summer on dry or wet road surfaces or to drive down dirt roads to a lake-side cabin.
    It is far more performance oriented than the Velar but perhaps not quite as posh. I own one of these supercharged SUVs and the heart and soul of the F-Pace is the supercharger and AWD which provides for effortless and blistering acceleration when on a carriage way or autobahn or moving briskly down a narrow country lane in the Scottish Highlands.
    Loved your review and while the Q&A displayed, at times a limited understanding of the brand, by the questioners, this car is not really comparable to the Porsche Macan or the Alfa Romeo Stelvio because the Jag simply offers more SPACE and nothing else comes close to the F-Pace overall value package including the BMW 3M Competition which is much more cramped. As a daily driver, the Jag F-Pace is simply a much better value - it is not intended to race at track days, it is intended to be daily transport that will be fun, yet competent to drive, so much so, that you will for look excuses to take it out for an amble and you will never get tired of the eye candy looks either. As for reliability, the transmissions and engines are well tested and bullet proof.

    I like the review but honestly there is a lot of incorrect information. You absolutely can change the interior lighting colors, can even change them by zone. The dash display you can configure a lot more, these don’t come with a engine cover, etc. The important take always are yes it isn’t a plush ride, and yes seats are more like race seats. I would’ve called out with more emphasis that it has quite a bit more body roll than rivals. Not that body roll means it is significant less capable, just gives less confidence. Obviously that engine with that transmission is excellent.

      Yeah, and 0-60 is 3.8 with the acelift

      Apologies for the factual errors. I spent a bit of time looking for the ambient lighting configuration and could not find it. Noted re: engine cover.

    It's not a compact SUV. I have the SVR 2021, 1 inch wider than a Range Rover Sport and only about 4 inches shorter. Sure it's not as tall. I find the seats extremely comfortable, and the interior lighting is adjustable. I think the ride quality is superb, I have the 22inch rims, but the all season tires, may be more forgiving, The entertainment system is much superior to the 2 screen one I had in the Range Rover... oh and there is no engine cover. The Supercharger looks too cool.

    • @MilesPerHr
      @MilesPerHr  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Car and Driver, Motor Trend, and all leading outlets consider the F-Pace a Compact SUV. It is larger than rivals like the Macan and Stelvio, but it is not a mid-size model (BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE, etc).

    • @kongcorner

      @@MilesPerHr Fully agree and I think it isn’t terribly important anyway. First 3 days with it and I have found it surprisingly refined and relaxing to drive after my RR Sport. It’s just easy. Combined fuel economy is 12 l/100 so far and I have driven 300km… and I live in downtown montreal, so not bad either. Still haven’t figured out where the bonnet finishes though.. it’s somewhere in front of me ;) thanks for taking the time to comment on my post and we could argue for days about what constitutes a compact or not. I am originally from the city where my car is made so perspective is everything :)

      Could you elaborate more on the seat comfort and ride quality? I'm in the market for the SVR and just curious on longer ride comfort, along with seat size. Hoping it's not too tight

    • @kongcorner
      @kongcorner 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@reverseg5016 I am 200lb, 5ft 10 and all I did was adjust the amount of side bolster until it feels right. I drive from Monteal to Prince Edward Island - round trip which is 2,500km and the seat was perfect. Hope that helps.

    • @kongcorner
      @kongcorner 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@reverseg5016 For ride quality, I have the 22 inch rims, and it is surprisingly good. At low speeds as the car is tight it moves quite a bit if you are in Montreal’s famous potholed streets. On the highway it is surprisingly comfortable. I thought it would be worse. My RR had air suspension, which gave a different ride, I prefer the SVR adaptive dampers I think. Hope that helps

      That's interesting, two very different vehicles that I was also looking at in that price bracket. The c8 3lt z51 package was also my preferred option. Is the performance really that close and how do both compare living in the real world? The Corvette is stunning to look at but the Jag has the practically.
