  • This event was very unfortunate, and we would like to share it as a learning experience. This wasn't the only time it's happened to us traveling Philippines or any other touristic countries.

REPORT IT! The new Mayor doesn't tolerate these things.

We had a similar incident in Olangapo. We got pulled over for almost hitting a pedestrian. There was no one walking for 100’s of yards in any direction. We chose to look at it as just another adventure. Like you said, it happens here too. One time in Kellogg Idaho, I got a ticket, payable immediately, check payable to the judge, for doing 26 in a 25 zone. I was actually doing 20. The Philippines is beautiful and the people are the most hospitable I have ever met, by and large. I always look forward to your adventures.

Wow Idaho is wild lol! And yeah it is what it is, it’s sad, but we can’t let it ruin our fun here!

A good suggestion if you are getting a vehicle here in the Philippines, get your front window tinted! Haven't been looked at once since we got it done! 👍

Is there a way you can report it to their supervisor?

Our friend reported it to the Mayor’s office for us.

And make sure you get your money back! I would hold these cops accountable.

This is the reality here in the Philippines! Once you give " show money" to the cops, traffic officers, they immediately 😁 smile, and there is no more issues!! Hmmm,......this is considered "Normal" in Phils

Apparently! 😅 it’s traumatizing nonetheless. I guess there are cameras everywhere now, but they still find the way to get money out of people.

Foreigners get tinted windows, if you're gonna drive all over the Philippines.

We definitely got our windshield tinted after this incident!
