    This is a great add on! I just scooped 26 in Gold from the middle of the Western Australian Desert! Long flight in a 172, but thrilling when you find the gold! Just need to tell folks to find a good market to sell the gold! Until you do it just sits in your Aircraft! Love Neofly!

      I'm glad that you are enjoying NeoFly. Excellent! 26 gold is a great haul! Definitely above average. You are correct, you have to sell the gold or it does you no good. Different airports have differing market prices for the gold.

    I initially tried the FSE economy thing but the install process was shockingly convoluted. Having to "ask" for another account then wait around is absurd. I installed this and flew a mission before I was even responded to in that other software.
    It seems the Explore points are always in middle earth.

  • @vladilas
    @vladilas 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    How did you know the airport to teleport to?
    On my map in NeoFly there is no airport near the exploration marker and I have no idea where to search for the nearest airport.

    • @arrashonam5697
      @arrashonam5697  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are a variety of ways you can figure that out. Within NeoFly, once you have located an airport at least somewhere somewhat nearby (which you can do in MSFS), you can go to the FBO tab and put in the ICAO for that airport. You can then change the radius for the search area. That will show you all of the airports within that radius. In this case, I started with KLAS since Las Vegas isn't that far away (just search Las Vegas in MSFS). That should show you the airports that are closes to the exclamation point. Alternately you do similar things with the market tab in NeoFly. Outside of NeoFly you could use tools like LittlenavMap.

    • @vladilas
      @vladilas 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@arrashonam5697 In your case it was easy because you had a major city in close vicinity.
      But yesterday the exploration mission was in the Australian Outback, with really nothing close by... I had to open Bing maps and try to search the point by image resemblance, took me some minutes, then enter the GPS coordinates in MSFS to see what are the closest airports...
      Seemed like a bit too complicated, it would have been much easier just to have the POIs directly in NeoFly map.

    • @arrashonam5697
      @arrashonam5697  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@vladilas I have done that one and it works the same way. Start at a big city if you have to. Basically use the MSFS world map to find something in the area. From there use NeoFly to see nearby airports. Get your radius big enough or work towards the exclamation point. I have approached the Australia one airports both north and the south of the wreck. I used the exact same method to choose my starting airport.

    • @vladilas
      @vladilas 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@arrashonam5697 And it's very clunky... wouldn't be easier to have the airports on NeoFly map? I miss them every time I use the app.
      Or at least the possibility to find the GPS coordinates from NeoFly.

    • @arrashonam5697
      @arrashonam5697  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@vladilas You absolutely can get them in NeoFly. NeoFly just doesn't show you all of the airports all the time. You just need a starting point. Once you have a starting point you can search for all of the airports around that ICAO. You are correct about the coordinates. NeoFly does not give you the GPS coordinates for the airports.

    Do you need any additional Neofly packages in order to do this? Or will the wreck also spawn in without any extra packages?

    • @arrashonam5697
      @arrashonam5697  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No. You do not need any extra packages in order to do exploration points. In order to see the wrecks, you do need to put the NeoFly objects in your MSFS Community folder though. The objects are free and can be found on the Discord.
      The extra packages that you can get by donating are:
      1: Events - The dispatcher calls you with alternate destinations (sometimes mandatory) due to varying events. You can adjust the frequency.
      2. FBO (Fixed Base Operators). This allows you to set up FBOs and create missions from there of your choosing.
      3. Additional 3D objects for more variety for things like the SAR (Search and Rescue) missions.

    Is there anyway to have the neofly map open while in the simulator like you have in the video, you see the map on topof you panel. How do you do that ?

    • @arrashonam5697
      @arrashonam5697  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The easiest is to use a second monitor and keep them both open at the same time - one for MSFS and one for NeoFly. I don't see the overlay like that when I fly either. The overlay was done with the recording software I used to make the video. I was also using a Stream Deck to switch back and forth. When I needed to see NeoFly, I had a button programmed on the Stream Deck to switch windows. I only know two ways to do an overlay inside the MSFS window while flying. There is a way to bring NeoFly in to one of the displays in the H135. I've not done this myself, but they've talked about it in the Neofly Discord. The second way is to bring NeoFly using a third party software to do an overlay if you are flying in VR.

    • @arrashonam5697
      @arrashonam5697  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheAdiposeTV I have been using an app on Steam called OVR Toolkit. That app allows you to overlay any window running on your machine into VR. You can place that window wherever you like. For example, I can easily have NeoFly or a map sitting on the passenger seat next to me. I can just look down at the seat and see the map. I believe that there are a few other alternatives as well, but I haven't tried them out.

    hey! I was looking for an exploration point, spent 20 minutes looking for it and didnt found. So i tried to land nearby the coordinates and crashed my plane! There is a way to recover my plane? it is no appearing on my Hangar!

    • @arrashonam5697
      @arrashonam5697  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm sorry to hear that you had trouble with the exploration point. Some of them can be tricky to find - especially the one in the southeast of the US. Also make sure that you have the NeoFly objects in your MSFS community folder. If you don't, the wrecks won't show up in MSFS. If you have a map in your cargo in NeoFly and you don't find the treasure within 15 minutes of entering the exploration zone, the precise location is shown on your NeoFly map (although the reward goes down when you land to collect the treasure).
      As for your plane. I always carry insurance when I'm flying - especially things like exploration points, emergency missions, or search and rescue missions (if I plan on landing). With insurance, you don't get the plane back, but you do get your money back so you can buy a new one. If you crash your only plane, then NeoFly gives you a 172 G1000 so you aren't stuck without any.
      Specific help can be found in the Discord channel as well.

    Is Neofly consideres planes added in MFS2020?

    • @arrashonam5697
      @arrashonam5697  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not entirely sure what your question is. By default when you start NeoFly you have every plane available that comes with every version of MSFS 2020. That means if you have the standard version of MSFS there will be some planes for sale in NeoFly that your pilot can't fly. You can still hire AI pilots to fly those in NeoFly though. If you add planes to MSFS, you can add those planes to Neofly (on the settings tab) as well. My next video will probably be on adding new planes to NeoFly. Does that answer your question?
