Just subscribed as your name is exactly what i am lol. Retired last year so have more time to play. Generally play ETS2/ATS and farming simulator but have gamepass and occasionally fly MSFS2020. I usually get bored after a short, where shall I fly etc. Which is where Neofly comes in (did some research on career add-ons for MSFS2020 and this seemed the best per cost). However, I have a question that I can't find an answer on google. What happens if I don't play for a while? Is there a penalty of some kind? Thinking maybe plane deterioration perhaps? Basically, I can see me dipping into this as and when I feel the urge to fly. Should I install it do you think?

So along with being The Mature Simmer I am also a frugal financial coach, so my suggestions is use Neofly without any of the paid add-ons to start. I have not purchased any yet as I'm not looking for what they offer and can get them other ways (say flying commercial routes/flights) for free with virtual airlines (I'm in 4 different ones which scratch that itch). There is really nothing compelling in Neofly in the paid content for me. It was the reason I choose Neofly instead of OnAir because OnAir is a subscription. I do have a series of videos on the channel where I go through all the major add-ons that at least have a free trial so I did not get into AirHauler or Pilot's Life 2 but did look at FSEconomy, Neofly, OnAir and a few others and share my opinions. If you rent a place it appears there is a bit of a charge in your finances in game but other than that no issue waiting. I took about 4-6 weeks between sessions recently on this series and did not come in to a depleted bank account so yes if you are dabbling it is a great option IMO.
Oh and lastly thanks for subscribing! Glad to have you aboard.

I tried this when it first came out a few years ago (still have the first version installed!) but never really got properly into it. I think it's time to grab the latest version and take another look.
