Very excellent set of tips. When I do clear file, I have a small glass of water to clean the file, and when I work with clear parts, when they are wet, the parts that are still raised are easier to see.
Haha. Thank you so much! I'm only so comfortable because of years with working with the tool. Have I cut myself in the past? Absolutely, but I learned and haven't had any issues for a few years now. 😁 Just like any other tool, it takes some time to learn but was so worth it to me in the end. I appreciate the kind comment and thank you so much for watching!
Very good tutorial, as always, my friend! Interesting you find the hobby knife more therapeutic. I’m the opposite and find filing more relaxing. For clear parts I use the Raser glass file to remove the nub marks. For me it works perfectly.
Thank you so much! A lot of people enjoy sanding so you're not alone. The raser is a solid tool, but I've found myself going back to my knife 99% of the time. 😆 Great to see you again and thank you so much for the love and support. 😁
@@PlamoTherapist, thank you for your kind words 😊 one of the great things of our hobby is the variety of preferences each modeler has, like in case of knife vs. sanding. I’m woking (very slowly) on three concurrent projects: two airplanes (Monogram 1/48 B25 Mitchell and F-100 Super Sabre) and the Zaku II from the 8th MS Team series. Hope to post videos of them soon but work does not allow me to spend much time with my hobby at the moment. I hope you and your family are all well! Take care, my friend!
Personally when I have to do close work with a hobby knife I'll take one of those brown flexible Band-Aids and just cut off the ends, then put them on at the ends of my first finger and along the inside of my thumb. That gives me a little bit of a protective barrier in case the knife does slip. 👍
What if you only have side cutters? I'm quite curious about that since I only used my hand and nails for my sd gundams before and now since I'm planing to get a MGSD barbatos and only planning to get side cutters. So I'm wondering if it would break or the peice will break.
