Gday Ade, this engine proves you have hit all the numbers absolutely spot on, No glad packing or gasket and self starts is fantastic, brilliant work as always mate, Cheers
Great to see some precision fitting going on, it's not seen that often. This has been a great series and I have been inspired by your approach to making this nice engine. Look forward to seeing the next installment... M
As always, great work, well done. Your rigging and measuring using the indicator and the DRO is brilliant. Thanks for all the film and edit work, and Your cheerful spirit.
I have yet finished the brass crosshead or the riser spacers. Your video has help me with things or way to check. I can see I have a of things to check and worried cause I know you have done a MUCH better job of machining to begin with!
Ade :-) i'm wondering if an old Medcalf Brothers Hy Flo air pump will have the psi to power your S50,they're beautiful little things that work off the lenz's law theory,it just so happens they run silently too,i own one of the bigger models and would be happy to post it to you so you could try before you buy so's to speak, they're very expensive and would look fantastic next to and also powering the S50,it would be a shame to outlay the cash only to find it didn't do the job though.
blue rizla or red/green??? I used to take shit for using blue rizla as a one thou spacer by all my mates but if its in yer pocket, its sized to precision (within reason) and can be left between bearing surfaces to 'self delete' at a pinch, wots wrong with that?
@@ade63dug 1 1/2 thou for green/red tho the thicker ones don't go through the high pressure rollers the 1 thou blues do so variation in thickness and compresibility are greater, hence my pref for blues!
Great stuff Ade, some well executed fitting. The excitement in your voice to see the first few mm of movement said it all. Well chuffed for you mate and richly deserved success. Off out in the workshop right now to try and get my crankshaft completed, now there's inspiration for you at 8:45pm! Cheers, Jon
That is awesome! Am I the only female that does hobby machining and loves these videos? I hope not.
Nice bit of fiddling to prove your accuracy. Very nice bit of building, enjoyed, cheers!
Dear Ade, That was a pleasure to see. Have followed your building of it and lovely to see it running.

That's great! I've never seen one, now I had the pleasure of seeing one built. Fantastic job 👍 curious to see the finished product. Happy Days to you!
Loads of fine details left to do but the hard work is done . Cheers Ade.

It can all be sorted out in the fitting stage , just match each bit with it's partner and think it through . Good luck and, Cheers Ade
Neat! The fine tuning is really interesting. Thanks Ade.
Lovely work, Ade. Good seeing the patietnce displayed setting it up.
Well done! Thanks for showing it.

I use the green but now you have got me wanting to go to the shed and put the mic on one to check the thickness . Cheers Ade.

Ahhh, q.e.d. ....... green for that extra half thou!!
