While his desire was to be rich he also wanted to sell his software to make their lives better. If that's not a good example, how about the Bible, Esther wanted to be Queen. That's all nice and all but her being Queen benefited her people,the Jews. It's not about being completely unselfish or being completely selfless. I think it's about if your desires can benefit others. Though, I'm sure some desires can only benefit yourself (example like getting longer hair, manifesting living in a beautiful home) I won't say that's selfish.
