No an MGS game with Zombies doesn't sound like a bad idea. Cuz when you think about it, it isn't. It's the kind of game that Hideo Kojima would have probably wanted to have gotten made at some point because it's just the kind of ridiculous that's up his alley.

i feel like amiibo festival might've been better recieved as a physical board game. because that's all it seems to be: a basic board game. which in and of itself isn't bad, basic board games have their own entertainment value. and video game versions of physical board games can be just as entertaining. but yeah, forcing players to get multiple amiibo just to play the game is the major detraction from amiibo festival.
The only good thing I see about amiibo festival is that you get to see characters that you don't usually see in scenarios... but that does not mean that each time a scenario comes up, each character would react differently.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who enjoyed XIII and XIII-2. Not my favorite FF games, but still enjoyable. I also fully agree, XIII-3 was a huge mess. I played it, but needed a strategy guide from the beginning, where I usually wait until I'm stuck. That 13 day time limit freaked me out. I don't do well under pressure. Also, loved Sonic R, but I played the PC version, and my computer in the late '90's was super slow, so I never had those control/speed issues, so I really enjoyed it. And the soundtrack is amazing.
Honestly, I don't see the problem with Amiibo Festival. A lot of people complain about the lack of personality and minigames, but that's not what the developers were going for. It's a party game based on a game of relaxation, not a Mario party clone. Sure, it has its downsides, but from a core gameplay standpoint it works beautifully.
Aw boys, THESE kind of Spin-Off not worth remembering/ X( I wasn't too fond on both Mario Is Missing/Mario's Time Machine and ESPECIALLY Hey You! It's Pikachu!
It's 100% possible to like bad games; it's even more permissible if you actually see its flaws but like the game despite them. I never played Sonic R, but I'm 90% sure I've never seen footage where people are able to actually stay on the course.
When you played the Mario Paint music while introducing the Mario educational series, I about threw my phone. "You better NOT say Mario Paint, Girard! I will rage quit you!", I exclaimed.

I think that, of all the spin-offs, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity would at least be somewhere on this list. I wouldn't call it the worst spin-off of all time or anything, but my god was it bad. The story was dull and easily predictable, the gameplay was bare bones, the soundtrack was forgettable, and the forced usage of the 3DS Camera to scan any round object to progress through certain parts was garbage. I'd argue that it's worse than amiibo festival, since people waited a long time for a new Mystery Dungeon game, but the payoff for that title was more like a punch to the face if that punch were delivered by Captain Falcon. Thank god they brought it back with Super Mystery Dungeon, but still, it has certainly shaken up people's faith in the series.
And definitely not the worst, neither as a main entry nor as an spin off. Main Entries is a whole different can of worms, but as an Spin Offs, is not worst than Dirge of Cerberus, and none of them is worst than All The Breavest.
@singularon1 I actually love 13, got dissapointed by 13-2 and I am so so with LR (love the gameplay, but the time limit stress me to the point I can't play it), but I am tired of defending the game, to the point I am just like "At least is not worst than..." And usually I bring FF II, but in this case I would say DoC.
Consider yourself lucky you haven't played Mortal Kombat Special Forces. That game doesn't have any of those cheesy cutscenes so it's infinitely worse.
I agree. But very few folks will agree with us. Sonic Riders was great. It just needed a small bit of tweaking. Sadly, Zero Gravity was a step backwards and then Sonic Free Riders (The Kinect Game) killed off the franchise. :/
Lightning Returns was my first Final Fantasy game (I know, crazy) and HOT TAKE: I thought it was alright! I enjoyed the deep customization in the schemata system.
Dead or Alive Xtreme seems like a very personal entry on this list lmao. "How could this series known primarily for conceptualizing jiggle physics POSSIBLY get a spin off focusing on the fan service? This is an outrage." Yes, truly unexpected and shocking.

_Operation Raccoon City_ is a tremendous guilty pleasure of mine, and in complete honesty after going through so many traditional _Resident Evil_ games consistently vulnerable and never truly confident in your ability to win, it's a nice change of pace to be able to go hog wild with an Automatic Shotgun every now and again. At the very least the game is still more respectful to the source material than games like _Metal Gear Survive_ or _Amiibo Festival._
I actually wanted to get Federation Force, but none of my friends got it, and I didn't wanna play alone (or with randos, assuming the game had online). It seemed like a handheld, story-less, simplified Borderlands, which still sounds pretty fun to me.
I actually really liked Lightning Returns, it was my favorite in the trilogy of FFXIII games. I loved the play style and I actually thought the story was really good. I am fully aware though that I am in the minority, most people can barely sit through FFXIII, let alone enjoy it or any of the sequels.
Nope, I've teamed up with others who loved it and even got all achievements. Despite that it was imbalanced, bugged and enemies were bullet sponges at times. I've really appreciated how possible it's plot was, Co-op was actually fun, multiplayer was fun, music was preety good. Most of players will argue with me but I want Wolfpack and Echo Six back, even if retconed.
The campaign was only decent, but the PVP was an absolute BLAST. Especially the 4v4 mode where you have to escape the map on a helicopter and there’s only four spaces available.
I’m pretty sure it’s a full blown main series Paper Mario game. If it was a spin-off, I’m pretty sure it would’ve been better received because people would’ve realized it wasn’t the real deal.
While Chugga would probably agree with the sentiment, IDK if it counts as a spinoff. Sure, Paper Mario was a spinoff, but then it basically became its own series thanks to Thousand Year Door (believed to be the best of all the games from what I've heard shouted from every rooftop from here to Peterborough), Super Paper Mario, and I think Colour Splash too. While Colour Splash wasn't as great as it could have been, it was probably still better than Sticker Star.
Jirard, he literally said, DoA is more famous graphically than it's gameplay. this is usually said by someone who has never played DoA in the first place.

I agree, both decent games that dont deserve to be on the list... aswell as the mention of dirge of cerberus
Although to give credit where it's due, I DID get a headache from Sonic R.
And Dirge is..... weird.
Weird but good, and very testing with the challenges after story mode

"In concept this doesn't sound like a bad idea."
Making a zombie game in 2019 from the charred corpse of MGS doesn't sound like a bad idea?
No an MGS game with Zombies doesn't sound like a bad idea. Cuz when you think about it, it isn't. It's the kind of game that Hideo Kojima would have probably wanted to have gotten made at some point because it's just the kind of ridiculous that's up his alley.
The fact Lightning won that “best final fantasy character” poll in japan still infuriated me
Puberty-Me would like to disagree with you on DOA Beach Volleyball!
Present-Me would also like to disagree :x
Now I want Jirard to tackle the entire senran kagura series. Seeing his reactions alone would be hilarious enough.
But I like the volley ball games...
I'm not ashamed to admit that I played the first game for over 100+ hours, and I thought that a lot of the swimsuits were super cute and jealous that I could never have the confidence to wear any of them XD
OMG yes same! I came here to comment that exact same thing 😂 I loved playing this game when I was in middle school, I'd rent it from Blockbuster and it was the best time waster lol
That's cause you guys are normal, he was just acting offended for other people for some reason, they were perfectly fine games.
Jirard, hope you are doing well. If you ever feel burnt out or down, dont be afraid to take a break for yourself. We will all be there for you. Love your vids man.
Yeah, I couldn't help but notice he got a lot quieter from #8 onwards. Hope there's no bad reason behind that...
I actually like Sonic R, once you get used to the physics is actually pretty easy. It's also the origin of the Tails Doll meme and my favourite character Metal Knuckles.
Star Wars super bombad racing... Is one that I wish got more attention

He did explain his reasoning though
@@pormpfspimperton6804 still not a spin off, even the games he listed to explain his reasoning aren't spinoffs they are a sequel and prequel to the games, a spin off would be ff tactics
i feel like amiibo festival might've been better recieved as a physical board game. because that's all it seems to be: a basic board game. which in and of itself isn't bad, basic board games have their own entertainment value. and video game versions of physical board games can be just as entertaining. but yeah, forcing players to get multiple amiibo just to play the game is the major detraction from amiibo festival.
Resident Evil Umbrella Corp is waaaaaay worse than Operation Raccoon City.
Eh, I actually liked final fantasy 13-3 thou I love 13 and 13-2 more

I knew it would be on the list but my reaction is always the same.
Anyone: "Sonic R is bad."
Me: "Oh... I liked that one."
It's 100% possible to like bad games; it's even more permissible if you actually see its flaws but like the game despite them.
I never played Sonic R, but I'm 90% sure I've never seen footage where people are able to actually stay on the course.
Hey Jirard, try completing TH-cam. That’s right. Surpass T-Series and get the Emerald play button.

Oh, so you're completing Subnautica next?
Are you doing Minecraft after the aquatic update?
When you played the Mario Paint music while introducing the Mario educational series, I about threw my phone. "You better NOT say Mario Paint, Girard! I will rage quit you!", I exclaimed.
Dead or Alive's gameplay is amazing though
love the video idea, allows you to compete with other gaming channels that do "Top 10 x's" while still making the videos that make you... "The Completionist." I dig it, man, good work on your team's part
Also: Far Cry New Dawn. I adore how the FC franchise can experiment with their subgenres but this felt like DLC...FC DLC in the past, like Blood Dragon, has been stellar. And then this? Idk, made me feel a little empty
I played Dead or Alive: Extreme Beach Volleyball as a young dude 👍
Sonic boom is apparently a perfect game
wow you know youve blocked something from memory when you’ve forgotten metal gear survive
Final Fantasy 13-3 is definitely not a spin-off. XD
Ok, does FF Tactics counts as a spinoff?
@@Naruto_from_the_Naruto_show Yes

Sonic riders: am I a joke to you?
Fr, Sonic Riders was dope, shame literally no one talks about it nowadays.
If it was cleaned up and modernized it would be fucking rad.
Sonic Drift whimpers in the corner for attention.
I agree. But very few folks will agree with us. Sonic Riders was great. It just needed a small bit of tweaking.
Sadly, Zero Gravity was a step backwards and then Sonic Free Riders (The Kinect Game) killed off the franchise. :/
Sonic riders: zero gravity ( or at least on the wii ) and free riders didn’t even try on the controls
Also sonic drift is just boring imo
The only good thing about Amiibo Festival is now I have a Isabelle amiibo for SSBU.
No joke, Sonic R is my favorite Sonic Racing game thanks to the great music and exploration.
I totally understand not liking Lightning Returns. But there is NO WAY it's worse than 13-2
And it's also not a spin-off lol
Lightning Returns was my first Final Fantasy game (I know, crazy) and HOT TAKE: I thought it was alright! I enjoyed the deep customization in the schemata system.
Dead or Alive Xtreme seems like a very personal entry on this list lmao.
"How could this series known primarily for conceptualizing jiggle physics POSSIBLY get a spin off focusing on the fan service? This is an outrage."
Yes, truly unexpected and shocking.
Operation Raccoon City was a guilty pleasure for me. Definitely not a very GOOD game, but it was an incredibly FUN game though.
Indeed it was, if I had to choose the real worst RE ever it would be Gaiden.
SHOOTER 57 I’d go with Umbrella Corps. Now THAT game was bad
@@beefjerky007 Not if you play it constantly with other RE fans from entire world, then it becomes fun. Much fun. I know because I've spent 138 hours in total and got all achievements.
SHOOTER 57 That’s fair I guess, I didn’t play that much of it to be honest
4:45 Jirard is the guy that clicks those ads that say “Girlfriends hate this game” or “Make sure no one knows you’re playing this game!” on bootleg anime streaming websites
It's also a lot better then Umbrella Corps.
At least Resident Evil ORC had a decent campaign with some great boss fights.
Making a drinking game out of Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival makes it one of the best games of all time.
Sonic R is a goddamn masterpiece, I'm not kidding, I adore that game
yea hes crazy for this one
I actually wanted to get Federation Force, but none of my friends got it, and I didn't wanna play alone (or with randos, assuming the game had online). It seemed like a handheld, story-less, simplified Borderlands, which still sounds pretty fun to me.
I actually really liked Lightning Returns, it was my favorite in the trilogy of FFXIII games. I loved the play style and I actually thought the story was really good. I am fully aware though that I am in the minority, most people can barely sit through FFXIII, let alone enjoy it or any of the sequels.
I knew the day would come when you would talk about one of my favorite Resident Evil Spin offs. I just didn't think it'd be this soon. Time to cry.
Am I the only one who loved Raccoon City?
I bought it recently and I like it.
Only you two.
The campaign was only decent, but the PVP was an absolute BLAST. Especially the 4v4 mode where you have to escape the map on a helicopter and there’s only four spaces available.
It’s horrible but I enjoyed it
Zombie apocalypse is the textbook definition of Tactical Espionage Action
I'd rather play Lightning Returns over Dirge of Cerberus.
I should have had links crossbow training in the list. The list is great tho!
I feel like Sticker Star should've been on this list.
I’m pretty sure it’s a full blown main series Paper Mario game. If it was a spin-off, I’m pretty sure it would’ve been better received because people would’ve realized it wasn’t the real deal.
@@dachking6657 Thats the thing.
Paper Mario games are spinoffs of Mario games, they arent the main series for Mario.
