- I don't miss parkrun without a VERY good reason, so despite running a marathon a day Monday - Friday, I was still planning on parkrunning Saturday morning. My sister was visiting with my niece and nephew, so we all headed over to Armley parkrun. It turned out that it was my sister, Carla's, 50th different parkrun! She also needed an 'A' for her parkrun challenges name badge, which is why she picked to run at Armley parkrun. Luckily the sun was shining and some familiar faces meant I had a great run here. For a short moment I considered attempting a 15 mile run on Sunday to round up to a 150 mile week but luckily I recognised that would be completely arbitrary and that rest and recovery was much more important!
Huge thanks to the volunteer team at Armley parkrun for a fantastic morning.

Wow I love how you just keep going! Amazing. Thank you for sharing.
Yay thanks 😃 I was so happy it was just 5km though 🙈🤣
🎉 Fantastic Nicola! I don't know how you did it after 5 Marathons in 5 days! You're amazing xxx
Awww thank you ☺️ I can't miss parkrun 🙃😍
I love your constant enthusiasm...amazing woman for sure
Thank you so much, what a lovely thing to say ❤️
Fantastic video as always Nicola. Amazed you can even walk after five marathons!
Fond memories of Armley park because I grew up in Wortley so was only a ten minute walk. I love the view across Leeds from the park.
Keep up the great work!
Thanks Andy ☺️ You're right about the view! I love it too 😍
Well done Nicola, any distance after running 132 miles is amazing!
Thank you 🤗🤗🤗
My local parkrun's popup parkrun sign thinks it's a kite... Slightest gust and it's off! 🤣
Theirs blew over 🥰🤣🤣
Loving your disrespect of your sister’s ‘go go gadget arms’ 😂
🤣🤣🤣 Mr Tickle apparently 🤣🤣🤣
Well done Nicola, ensuring your channel is a dentist-free zone by gridding a cookie before your sprint finish. Bonus points for broadcasting you were then going to buy chocolate and sweets (however, it was Easter, so no judgement should be passed)
A dentist free zone 🤣 in about 2 weeks the root canal will be filled. I'm so happy I get to keep the tooth! As it's my back molar I was convinced they would pull it out! 😳
Well done on your marathon achievement! I did my first marathon in Manchester a couple of weeks ago and have no idea how you managed to do multiple marathons! 🙂
Thanks 😊 Ooh how was Manchester? I've only run it once and I blew up spectacularly 🤦🏻♀️🤣 I was going for sub 3:30... I failed 😂
Well done on managing to do this after your epic week of marathons - this is another of the Leeds ones that I haven't done. I got a PB at Skipton on Saturday (and my first parkrun sub-26), and next week I'm off to try another localish parkrun, and one that you haven't done yet, Burnley.
Thanks, and well done on your PB! 🎉 Let me know how Burnley is 😃
you are an amazing runner very well done
Thanks Michael ☺️
I’m still catching up with your parkrun videos, Nicola. You are funny stopping for cookies. Next time you do that I think you & Poppy should do a parkrun in Cookie Monster outfits 🙂
Ooh that's a great shout although I think I'd get WAY too hot! 🥵🤣
What a nice day for it - and for Armley that's pretty mud-free too!
Yes I was expecting it to soooooooomuch muddier!
Kudos for fronting up to parkrun after such a huge effort during the week. Your positive attitude is inspiring.
Thank you 🤗 I absolutely love parkrun so it'd be difficult for me not to be happy because it's one of my favourite things to do 😃
Grats to Carla! 🐄 Visited Armley last week, the trees were looking fantastic laden with blossom. 9 miles to do tomorrow for a 50 mile week, hard to fathom doing 135! 🤔
50 miles sounds perfect! And like it won't break you! 😃
@@NicolaRuns Aww! Hope that foot digit that we dare not mention is beginning to improve 💛
@@richardbuck1729 thanks, it's good now the toenail is in running heaven 🙈🤣
Great to hear you are doing Edinburgh Marathon, super event. I'm doing Polkemett parkrun the day before en route to Inverness - was going to do Holyrood but that was cancelled because of marathon weekend.
I've never done Edinburgh before! I'm excited! Ahhh yes I imagine they'd be overrun at Holyrood if they went ahead with so many runners descending on the city! 🙃
Edinburgh is a well organised event. I did the half, Dave did the full, the half started at 8am.....I struggle with parkrun start times, 8 😮😮. Holyrood can wait until next spring. Edinburgh parkrun will likely have bumper numbers, but they've got lots of space to make it work.
@@Runner_Emma ooh that is early!!! 😳
I know, I've literally never run at 8am in my life 😂, don't worry, the marathon started at 9.
@@Runner_Emma lol, I love my early morning runs but not when complicated logistics are involved! 🙃
Toilets and cafe are priorities before the sign for me 😀
Well they were both there 😃
First! 😂🎉 well done Nicola
🤗🤗🤗
I’ve not done a PR for over a year… such a slacker!
Stop slacking 😜 get yourself there 🥰
Now you re just showing off 😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
You did very well with a sore body , id recommend a nice long massage , i had a chinese lady walk up and down my back once lol , quite different :) Hope thats a better comment instead of the etc one but i was exhausted after the car boot 😉 , my fav yummy mummy deserves it ha ha😍😜
A massage is an excellent idea! 😀
So a "cow" is 50 different runs? If so...why cow? (I hope its not obvious!)
A Cowell is 100 different parkrun locations (named after the first person to do this), so a Cow (being half of Cowell) is 50 different parkruns
Flying feet photo after 5in 5 is 🎉🎉 well that warrants some sort of sub cat award (might I suggest a waffle with choccy sauce)
I think re hoarding bar codes... Post long miles brain is akin with baby brain.... I become a bit confused if I run ridiculous miles although I haven't done 134 miles in a week.. Was it 134😂😂❤
@@FrugalMrB Thanks for the explanation!
