    i agree about loader tractor but some of us can't justify the cost of load all type of machine

    • @JMFarming

      It’s a very good point James, they are rather expensive!

    We don’t see much of that little loader tractor do you not use it much?

    • @JMFarming
      @JMFarming  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes Owen, the reason you don't see it much is because Fencer Phil, as we call him, uses it as his tractor every day. Normally got the post banner and quick fence on it.

    I definitely agree with you josh a hander is far better than a tractor we had a loder tractor the handler is more manoovl you can get in to tiet playees

    Started with a Fordson Major loader tractor, wow so much better than a shovel, then onto a Ford 4610 loader with power steering, wow mch much easier to turn the wheel. Then onto a Sanderson Forklift, so incredibly maneuverable and great lift capacity. Then onto a telehander - just a step up again. However if a loader tractor all that is available then nothing wrong with that, new ones are amazing compared to old ones.

    • @JMFarming
      @JMFarming  ปีที่แล้ว

      You’ve had the complete journey through! Yes I agree a loader is definitely better for some cases and also a lot better than no loader!

    Telehandler or loading shovel for loading muck for sure loader tractor can stay in the yard 😂

    I first used a loader tractor as a student on a Nursey in Norfolk it was a Ford 4000 with a door less cab. I was loading a compost mixer, hand loading the bucket with peat , sand , grit bark , lime and various ferts. Had to use split breaks as no power steering. Before telehandlers were common.

    • @JMFarming
      @JMFarming  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s so weird, also the first tractor I drove was a ford 4000 with a loader!

    Hi Josh we had a manatu tellyhandler with a large bucket width of the machine it was very good you could load anything with that. It had legs to put down for further reach. We had basket and jib for it all auto matic brilliant great to drive. I saw a bigger with a grab on loading a spreader I thought that was a good idea no mess on the field.
    Great drone footage, my wife said who's operating the drone while you are driving the tractor 🚜 don't be daft gus I said. Great take care.

    • @JMFarming
      @JMFarming  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I like the way the handler buckets are the width of the machines, makes it easier to clean up against walls and such! We have a big grab for the Manitou here, also very good for loading out the midden!

    Hi Josh enjoyable vid as always, and I use to work for a beef/arable farmer about five years ago and he had a 6M series John Deere with a loader, I did ask him why he didn't have a telehandler his response was why when my loader/tractor is just as capable as a telehandler, and I've disturbed a few wasps nests over the years, a bunch from one nest followed me for over an hour trying to sting the tractor as I carried on ploughing the field so can appreciate how angry they can get mate.

    • @JMFarming
      @JMFarming  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The wasps were not happy with me whatsoever! Loader tractors are very capable, but I would still argue that a handler is more capable in the majority of scenarios

    • @MarkLloyd72
      @MarkLloyd72 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JMFarming Oh I agree with you I'd rather use a telehandler instead of a loader tractor, it's just what that farmer I was working for at the time preferred, and yes wasps can be very aggressive.

  • @eddlovatt
    @eddlovatt ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Ahaha book a doctors appointment need a hospital visit if people say loader tractors are better. Telehandlers are the boss of all jobs. Great content as usual Josh lad and how was football yesterday ⚽️🫡🚜
