    We pull a Jamesway 7400 gallon tank with either a JD 7R 230 or 290 just depends on what available. We also pull a Nuhn 14000 gallon quad tank with a JD 9520R

      The 7R's are impressive tractors. That 9520R on the quad train is awesome! Thanks for the comment and great youtube channel!

      Where the manure is applied the farms need much less of any other fertilizer.

    Great video… it’s just me thinking but I would never put a 7R on a 7,300 gallon spreader… I’d put an articulated tractor. Well I did have an 8430 on a 7,300 speeder.. you remember that Tractor Chasers? About 15 years ago that was lol. Anyways I had to be very very selective on where I had to go.. but very impressive nonetheless..

    • @tractorchasers
      @tractorchasers  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I remember! 7Rs have changed a lot and are very impressive now. They handle the fully loaded tanks very well. Keep in mind these are 330hp and 350hp tractors now, not the older 7 series we'd be used to.

      @@RickPerry4960no those tractors are more capable than any of the old 8020 series and theres guy here that pulls one of those tanks with an 8420 mind you he's had to rebuild the brakes in the tractor twice cuz he won't get another tractor. But he said he's not buying anything with DEF. Lol

    Y’all also don’t know what you’re missing running them factory houle pans. Put a husky on there and do 6” piping all the way to the pan. We’d unload a 7300 gallon faster than the 6300 gallon counterpart with the stock houle pan.

  • @dzl6848
    @dzl6848 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Wheres this at? Can they get truck to deliver it so you wont have half the field on the road.

    • @tractorchasers
      @tractorchasers  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This operation would probably be slowed by using trucks. They had short hauls and go right into the field to unload. The tractors going 32mph which is close to what a trucks speed would have been. Then they have no time spent parking and waiting for a truck to transfer manure. A lot of times trucks can speed things up but I’m not sure it would help for this one.

    So why do this vs injecting it i to the soil? Being from Iowa, smelling manure is part of life here. Thankfully you guys only do it a few times a year. This way has to absolutely reek

    • @tractorchasers
      @tractorchasers  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Definitely more of a smell while they are applying it this way. They follow right behind the spreaders with a chisel plow and work in the manure while they do the first pass of spring tillage. So the smell is reduced and the nutrients in the manure are saved.

    Hey you guy's, are you crazy running them big tanks around without duels on them tractors !!!! boy i'll tell ya it's only going to take one time and you will say o'h my God !!!! i will never run a tractor with out them again, it's all about stability, control, breaking, the more rubber you can get to the road the better !!! of course i don't no your reason why, but other reason's is traction out in the fields and compaction believe it or not you are getting twice the compaction running without duels, then if you were !!! and them tractors don't look to be the biggest tractors you should have on them tanks!!! oh i kinda of see now you guy's are running super singles on them little tractors!!! and you are twice to three times the compaction with them super singles to guy's, i heard him say you are running 7R's on them tanks !!! boys at the very less you should be running is 8R's and if your running 30 mhr on the road !!!! no frick'n way, they ain't heavy enough to be running that kinda speeds down the road especially running a super single holy crap man !!!! well i'm sorry i guess i'm from the old school of doing it, you guy's may think you are save'n on compaction running them lighter tractors, but you are losing in the safety department !!!!! i use to work all day running 8600 gall tanks 4 axle tanks with 8410, 8520 all 8000 Series tractors because we weren't smart enough to say no !!!! them tanks should have hooked to Articulates, but nop we almost lost a couple of Operators, but by the grace of God we never did !!! we lost a few tractors and tanks threw the years !!!! but now we are using smaller tanks like you guys but still running mostly 8000 sires John Deer's and drag line!!!! just be care full out there boy's don't forget someone need's you and love's you very much !!!! so keep it between the fence poles and we will see you on the other side !!! Just say'n !!!!
