Be sure your buddies stay safe on the trails, there’s never any rush for them to advance their skills so quickly, all that matters is they have a good & safe time.

Reason of crash for those wondering: she held that front brake all the way down so the front wheel locked up and she lost traction and crashed. Sometimes you just gotta let just of the brakes no matter what because a lot of times it’s actually safer.
You can see the rear wheel locking she seems to be applying rear brake she just landed at a hard angle. She needed more room and more skill to reposition her bike and land on both wheels.
That's not the only issue: her weight was too far over the rear wheel, meaning she had very little control over the front. If you look closely towards the end of the feature, you can see 2 things happen: 1) the rear wheel pops up halfway down, and 2) the front wheel slips out from under her. Locking the rear wheel doesn't matter as much, just keep on the rear brake because it will keep pressure on the front and maintain steering control. At the top, keep your weight centered, lower yourself before the roll so you can push into it and automatically get into a position to absorb the bottom of it, then at the bottom of it, let your arms and legs compress and because you kept your weight centered and the back brake on, you will roll out of it rather than slide out in the middle of a compression.
That is exactly what didn’t happen lol, the drop was so steep you have to lift ur front wheel up instead of just riding straight down out has nothing to do with the front brake but she just needed more speed and more momentum with that front wheel

Exactly I don't get people encouraging attempts like that without the skills to do it. She could have practiced on a smaller similar feature and not take the risk of breaking her spine.
@@MrZombie3 that drop is incredibly steep and tall, if she went fast she would have got air time and landed incredibly hard to flat. you actually have to go slow and make sure the rear wheel doesn’t gain more horizontal speed than the front wheel.
@@alol441 Not on this one. Once over the lip, the front brakes are doing nothing thus as the bike accelerates the rear will pick up momentum & rotate the bike forward. The correct way to is approach with mild speed and lift the front wheel as it goes over the lip almost like a manual.

Yeah, I cried at first lol
Reason of crash for those wondering: she held that front brake all the way down so the front wheel locked up and she lost traction and crashed. Sometimes you just gotta let just of the brakes no matter what because a lot of times it’s actually safer.
Thanks a lot for your suggestions, I will try to put them in practice next time I ride this trail again

I know she crashed but there is no denying that she has skills, good for her 💯🔥💪
Still learning here! I have just bought a new bike that fit me better, this one: th-cam.com/video/u59fFXUVQlg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=5h5_AxNYd5fJs8P7

that takes a lot of skill actually but dang that looked like it hurt
yeah unfortunate facts of this sport... I suggest you the full bike video: th-cam.com/video/wQgIzRC-J94/w-d-xo.html
Doesn't take that much skill
I think that bike is to big for her, she can't get back far enough
@@HIPP024 that’s what I was thinking too. Need to be basically leveraged over the back tire.
@@HIPP024 she was leaning too far back...
Utter inner fortitude there. I'm so impressed. She got 50 yards closer to this feature than I ever would.

Didn't scream or whimper. Fist bump, young lady!
I'm learning
She let go of the rear break too soon. She needed to ease into it. It's the same when going down a half pipe. You either jump into it or slowly let your back go off the edge
Yeah definitely need to practice more
This is right. People saying she needed to stay back more, her ass was literally skimming the rear tire
@@HeadCase55 Tbf, on my first watch I thought the same thing. I noticed after rewatching the clip
@@HeadCase55 gotta pull up
The fact that she did the line again and got it is testament to her skill and courage

Bullshit. She never did.

Confidence is key when you're starting out. If you're gonna send it send it.
Totally agreed, need more practice and confidence
😂 Yeah, but my first time going on a tabletop that was said a rookie on a cheap bike couldn't make it I went into FULL send mode and completely over shot the entire jump! 😵💫
Which is why I always tell people it's best to start as an impulsive teenager. Once you're an adult with proper risk assessment skills, it's much harder 😂
@@zerounobikesshe needs to start with easier stuff, this drop was WAAAAAAAAAYYYYY about her skill level (zero)
Unicycle pretty much. It's all self belief and hope
Can’t believe she went for that not knowing to lift the bike and pump it under her, must have been so scary
Wym by "pump it under her"?

Because of your dump truck, your gravitational potential energy which transfers to maximum kinetic energy made this outcome a guarantee.
Ah wow interesting point of view
Skill comes with pain
That's so true! Learning curve
She proved that she is braver than most just by attempting that drop. Doesn't matter if she didn't land it clean.
Its just dumb to do it she should have trained more so she had more confidence and practice
I think it matters just a little bit that she didn't make it.. 😂
So you mean she landed it just a bit sloppy?
brave how exactly? all I seen was a scared rider trying something she had no buissness trying at her skill level.
every dummy commending her bravery but its also stupid, she could have been paralyzed, severe head injury, brain bleed, vertebral fracture, helmet or not..that is not to say she did not cause some serious injury to her spine that wont show till a few years later.
Man hope she’s alright. That was a hard slam
All good, thanks for asking!

Study the techniques first. Then practice a lot by levels and finally ride through paths.

Exactly I don't get people encouraging attempts like that without the skills to do it. She could have practiced on a smaller similar feature and not take the risk of breaking her spine.
love the bravery. get at it 💪

@@zerounobikes why are you agreeing, the crash happened because she let go front brakes too early and the rear got too much momentum
@@alol441it wouldn't happened if she doesnt go that slow especially right before a drop

My step father taught me a valuable lesson when i was first learning how to drive. "First you get good, then you can get fast." And that sage advice has prevented me from many accidents like this.
Glad to see you sit up right away, that was brutal.
That's so sawy good lesson
You don't have to try to go fast,
as we get more competent with the execution of something we start to be more careless and confident and we drive faster without even noticing it
First we have to learn to control the car and then we have to learn to control ourselves, our impulses, to make sure we're not a danger to us and others
@@I24FFA Yep, that is the longer version of his advice. I apply this to literally every skill based hobby I partake in.
