    ***Factory poor cable management***
    My Samsung front loader washer model number is WW22K6800AW/A2 this fix could apply to some other models too. Do not buy the MEMS sensor before you check this out, this can fix your problem, I did`t wasted time with editing and and how to remove the washers top panel, if you can not figure out that for yourself... than what is left for you is to buy a new washer.
    It is very unlikely that the sensor would go bad, usually it is a harness problem, in mine particular case was the MEMS sensor wires rubbing against the washer`s frame, I have noticed at least 2 wires with the outer casing worn out, but is enough just for one wire to be exposed to the frame and it will read a different value since the metal washer cover is ground. Happy fixing, throw a like, they could have been project this washer a little better but Samsung sucks balls.

      Hi Daniel. I have a Samsung WW22K6800 (not even 3 years old) compact washer with the exact issue in your video. I had the wiring harness checked. The tech said it still had continuity but just wrap the individual wires with electrical tape. Which I did and voila, the washer works like a charm. The fault caused the door to not lock which
      prevented the water from filling the drum. Thanks Daniel for the fix. You saved me from buying a new washer or at
      the very least $700 of repairs/parts.

      @@RomanTrollanski Hi Daniel..I forgot to mention how I dealt with the sharp edge which cuts the harness. I used
      locking pliers (vicegrips) to bend the edge over and flatten it out. Then I covered that with a few lengths of
      electrical tape. The harness is still a bit wedged in there but it won't be cut any more.

    You're a hero! Wasn't exactly the same on my washer, but a wire to the MEMS sensor broke right near the sensor itself. Spliced it back together and it works again! This video saved me multiple hundreds of dollars. Thanks!

    I've just had exactly the same issue. The sharp edge of the frame had sliced its way through the sleeving and into one of the cores of the harness. Easy repair, now working fine. Thanks for the video.

    Solved my problem! Savior! Shame on Samsung for suggesting to come and solve what it seems like a well known issue for >300 euro and pretending that they have no clue about it. Thanks for saving me both money and time on to wait on a technician to come!

    Hello Daniel,
    Thank-you for your tip. This is the exact problem I just had on my 2016 washer WW22K6800AW/A2. I was able to reroute the wire towards the vibration sensor, there is a space for the cable to exit the board towards to sensor. Didn't even have to disconnect the cable. So I guess it is more of an assembly error and not a design error. Did not have to open the front of the unit. Was able to do the repair from the open top panel of the washer.

      I'm glad that I was able to help! It's a stupid design, anyway... Stay away from Samsung appliances in general. We have a few Samsung washers that we already threw them away, after trying to fix them. We keep a few for parts, everything else it's junk.

    Why not put tape along the sharp edge?

    • @RomanTrollanski
      @RomanTrollanski  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Preferably not rubbing against any edge. I'm not sure how long would tape last on the edge... But you're more than welcome to do so...

      @@RomanTrollanski I agree, I just meant putting tape on the sharp edges prior to putting fingers in there to lessen the chance of a cut.

    This video shows how to identify the problem but doesn't explain the fix. However, it does show some helpful preventative tips.
    If the wires were damaged, did they need to be replaced? Or was it just the jacket, easily fixed with electrical tape?

  • @kylegallagher2469

    Can you tell me what your problems were with the washer? Mine will stop mid cycle and will not start again. I have to turn off the machine, and then usually get a "dC" error code when I turn it back on. Apparently "dC" has to do with drum balancing. To get it started I have to turn it off and on again, then try the load from the beginning and hope it works. Probably not the same as your issue, but thought I would ask. Thanks

    • @RomanTrollanski
      @RomanTrollanski  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's the same issue. That's your problem right there! Those wires, might not be visible, out of the whole bunch of wires, only 1 is enough to short with the washer and is enough to throw that error. I'm more than positive it's the same issue, same fixing method. Good luck, leave a comment if you got it fixed. Cheers.

    Salut! Cum se poate testa daca este sensorul defect?

    • @RomanTrollanski
      @RomanTrollanski  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nu cred că se poate testa, oricum... Este prea puțin probabil să se defecteze senzorul! Uită-te la firele lui, la mine erau tocite de abia daca se observa la microscop. Este de ajuns doar un fir să facă masa cu carcasa mașini și s-a dus dracului. Este foarte puțin probabil să se defecteze senzorul, eu l-am desfăcut bucăți, nu are ce sa se strice la el, doar printr-o absolută pura întâmplare am văzut că este cablul (cablurile) roase, tocite.

    Lol. It's not "a simple fix" if you have to disconnect the whole machine and then cut wires and junk. That's not "a simple fix" and it doesn't cost a ton of money but to disconnect everything is crazy just to fix a broken wire. Samsung sucks.
