He looks and sounds great! I luv 🎶acoustic🎶 Petey Pie. Eff the R&RHOF, we know who we've luved for 50+ years. The hair is still there, you just have to look a bit harder to see it. I'm 75 in May, very few lines on my face, which my friends think is a bit freaky since I don't botox or even moisturize. I think it's from making an effort every day to be a kind and decent person. Listening to great music also helps us maintain a youthful vibe. 😅 🎶💙🎶
It blows my mind how sincerely he can sing "baby, I love your way" after years and years and years of playing that song. He's focused, heartfelt, and not at all bored.
That is his gift. It was his live album that broke open his career. He understood people needed to feel his enthusiasm for performing. Old guy's still got it.
This is the fourth or fifth recording I've heard him play of his acoustic version of Baby I Love Your Way, and he has played a completely different solo for each one! He knows how to keep his old classics fresh!
Yes, I always think that when you see a musician singing a song with as much strength and passion as when it was originally recorded decades ago. I was just watching Fleetwood Mac performing "the chain" and wondered how many thousands of times they've performed it, yet it still sounded fresh. That's the sign of good songwriting and talented people performing the song.
This was an absolutely HISTORICAL Tiny Desk concert. This is not just guitar and voice and memories but a shining spirit too. Thank you Peter Frampton and Gordon Kennedy. Thanks NPR. Way huge!!.
That shining spirit was and always will be there. I think that's his greatest appeal, even more than his incredible musicality. Really they go hand in hand with him.
As a teen I just loved his breezy long hair and happy seeming performing, but through the long years he has proven himself to be the good stuff. I have never heard anyone who ever interviewed him, or met him at a show that didn't say he was the gentlest, most humble person they ever met. That is something when describing a musical superstar.
Watch his interview by Rick Beato, he's even more elegant when reminiscing about the good ol days! It just goes to show, when you love what you do, it's not a job, it's a way of life!
He,s a MASTER CRAFTSMAN AT PLAY, just doing it with a GREAT BIG SMILE ON HIS FACE ENJOYING EVERY MINUTE, ONE OF THE GREAT,S. PEACE TO YOU ALL MY FRIEND'S. ✌️✌️✌️😎😎😎🏴🏴🏴🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
Love this guy. Consummate performer, master guitar player, expert songwriter yet as humble as the day is long. I was PRIVILEGED to see him in 75 when he did the Frampton Comes Alive set before it was an album. I will never forget that.
Along with Bowie & Clapton, Frampton was part of that special breed of musicians that all emerged at the same time way back in the 70s. Those of us who were in our teens were so privileged to have lived through such formative times.
Peter's father was Bowie's and Framton's art teacher, and he encouraged them in the breaks, to sit outside class and play their guitars, just wonderful what amazing music we experienced then. I miss them good ol' days..!

Harry you are a lucky guy to have a dad who exposed you to a great musician like PF. I was the same age as you are now when FCA was released. At that time 75-76 I was a fan of the Beatles, the Stones, Eric Clapton, the Grateful dead and Led Zeppelin. My folks listened to Sinatra, Tony Bennett and big band stuff and Broadway LPs . Tragically, there were " music wars" in our apartment in the Bronx all the time. I'm sure there were often times when I was the instigator of the conflict. When I became a middle-aged hobbyist-guitarist and my palette broadened I began to also appreciate a lot of the stuff mY folks did. Plus I added miles Davis, john Coltrane Charlie parker and the great western classical composers to my list of faves. So the moral of the story young man is try to be as broadminded and tolerant in all areas of your life as you can. You risk missing out on so much in life if you don't P.S. it's never to late to start learning how to play a musical instrument And isn't TH-cam a great invention for those of us who LOVE music?!
That's terrific, Harry Rosson! You clearly have a great relationship with your dad and to share music in this way is a lifelong joy. Best wishes to you both.
This is the first time I have heard this amazing musician play. I'm ashamed of myself. I will be buying his discography tomorrow to make up for lost time! 🤩
Don’t be ashamed. I hope you bought Comes Alive and have had the pleasure of listening to it end to end outside on a summers day. It’s just sunny day music.

Wasn't he in a horrible car wreck, and while the album was charting as a monster hit, slept in a coma in the hospital? Missed much of his moment of fame. He seems like a wonderful guy and a great guitarist.

You risk missing out on so much in life if you don't
P.S. it's never to late to start learning how to play a musical instrument
And isn't TH-cam a great invention for those of us who LOVE music?!
Good for you young man. This is one of my favorite albums ever.
Go get Frampton comes alive
Listen straight through when you have time. It’s a double album. Blew my mind
I think you’ll love it
Write me back snd let me know what you think.
Makes me sing and dance around my house
It's free on YT!
That glorious summer returned to me now - such fond memories, and how sad it was when so many people decided a year later that he wasn't "cool" any more -- well here he is now, still shining like a beautiful jewel. Thank you Peter, for making me smile again.
A sincere thank you is in order. Thank you Peter. Thank you for bringing happiness and joy into this world...
John Bosquet-Morra It was a glorious summer, wasn't it... Great comment, by the way.
music changed a lot in just a couple years. disco came along. it got weird. i did rock out that summer. still do. dig PF.
Wasn't he in a horrible car wreck, and while the album was charting as a monster hit, slept in a coma in the hospital? Missed much of his moment of fame. He seems like a wonderful guy and a great guitarist.
That "Baby, I Love Your Way" feedback nourishes Peter Frampton's soul. And mine. Many thanks to all involved.
Tiny Desk is one of the coolest things in music. It brings the artist AND the fans closer than they could ever expect to be, in a loose comfortable setting that both can enjoy. Artists from every genre have seemed to get the same vibe from Tiny Desk.
Real music no computers here, a lot of talent and true feeling
"Lines on my face" has just destroyed what was left of me as a human being. Long life to Frampton!
I feel ya. I just cried. It’s a fav of mine. I just read his book & cried throughout the last chapter.
