Hey brother, you have a right to your opinion. Let me ask you this, have you played this game of hockey? Did you grow up in this lifestyle? If so were you the or a leader for your team? Were you ever in a position, with your team to win a championship in your respective league? If so have you ever been injured and played through the pain, to be that leader of your team? Because your team needed you to lead them, regardless of how it affected your personal health. Did you ask yourself what are my options moving forward? Do I lead with the tools (skills and ability and mental toughness that have made me a leader) or do I step away and sit out because I’m not 100% ?
Well the team can bring in someone else and I can heal. Will that new prospect be able to produce and lead as well as you, at 75% or 50% capacity? Or should I tough it out and be the leader the team expects me to be?
I’m 65. I’ve been playing this sport since I’m 10 years old. I never played professional but I have always competed at the highest levels of amateur hockey and still do! I think Trouba did the best his body and mind would allow him to, under the circumstances that were available to himself and The New York Rangers !!
I applaud him and his team for all the personal sacrifices that the entire team made to compete this season. It’s your choice but did you consider any of these possibilities and situations before your posting?

He was probably also scared to injure him self worse when your injured you make bad plays because you over think about the injury
I have no issue with Troubs. You guys want more grit and toughness and want to get rid of a big, nasty player named Troubs. Crazy. I know he's not a player worth 8MM but it is what it is.
The problem is with our top lines players missing in play-offs like Panarin, Kreids and Mika. Lot's of points in regular season and no effort in play-offs when team needed them most.
One player can't be blamed for the Blueshirts' defeat ... The lads were beaten by a better team ...
Hi islanders fan here. It could be worse you could have the islanders roster who has a quarter of the talent yet have salary cap problems AND a GM that may have fought in the civil war. Rangers are on the right direction and think they will be one of the top teams once again next year. Good coach and a good gm you’ll be good. I felt bad for Kreider because that dude can play man!
Civil War lol that's funny man. Yeah it sucks man. There's always 1 or 2 teams better no matter how good your team is. Rangers 5 ecf appearances 2 Presidents Trophies since 2012 and zilch to show for it. Looking forward to checking out UBS next season. Good luck bro.

my 3 words = TOUGHNESS IS MISSING, along with size. We cannot have a top D pairing shorter than 6 ft, and expect to go against guys 6'3 or better, We never could keep Barkov, Tkachuk and Reinhart away from our goal mouth. If Shesty was a regular goalie, the scores wouldve been 6 -1 or worse, every night. Team needs to get bigger. Tougher. Why isn't Krieder thowing hits the way Barkov does? is he too much of prima donna?
You are a team you win as a team you lose as a team you can't just blame one player because of a broken ankle injury I've been a Ranger fan for years I remember going to MSG since I was 7 when Brian Leetch just starting out on his career Tony Granoto one of my favorite players so don't just blame 1 player for their loss I'm just as upset 😢😢😢😢😢😢

Overly committed to trade deadline players.. again! Wenny fit, 96 isn’t a line 1 player by any stretch and would not have made the roster in tryouts. Cuylle or Goodrow would have freed line 1 from being short handed; Mika and CK could have had an asset to produce
Trouba's ack of mobility was no excuse for giveaways in front of Igor. Nor would it excuse him for going after Rodrigues when he didn't have the puck and let Florida in for a score. Couple that with a bunch of mindless penalties that ended up in the opposition scoring and you have a nightmare playoff performance. There was nothing redeeming about his play. Every time he had the puck I closed my eyes and thanked the hockey gods when his horrendous play didn't end up in an opposing goal. He was a disaster pure and simple.

Did you see big, scary hits from Miller, Fox, Gus? Nope. Only Troubs brings toughness to this defense and you guys want to get rid of him... Lindy has a heart but he's to small, Shneider is trying but he is very young.

Exciting, yes. But it falls apart the further you get into the playoffs. Everyone has injuries…NO EXCUSES. This time of year everyone has injuries. Presidents trophy is fine, but same old problems, and that falls directly on Drury. Forget Presidents trophy. They need to add to whatever degree they can in free agency, but their issue is changing the culture on this damn team. Start drafting differently. Size and grit, vs. finesse. A lot of those 30 years, Rangers drafts have always been predicted on finesse over size and grit. Last time they had role players on a very balanced team, they won the damn cup. Keep being built for the season and the presidents trophy, and that will be your season. These comments about we can and wait till next season , is all BS talk. Been a Ranger fan since early 1960’s, so I’ve seen a lot of Ranger hockey. Early on the were predicated on trading youth for over the hill has beens. On the down side. Thank god that finally ended. Height is irrelevant in hockey. Weight is a factor, but a minor one. Stop thinking this basketball or football: Hockey is too fast and skilled for size to be a major factor.

I think Trouba took too many dumb penalties in playoffs. Honestly I think this roster is solid maybe one more stat at home defense man and a tough fourth liner maybe.
