- Free Gear Keir strikes again. We take a look at Keir Starmers recent Sky news interview where he struggles to explain the reasons for recieving so many donations. More than any other recent Prime Minister!
Nobody gives away free stuff unless they're getting something in return.

@tony Lyons. I am the same as you sir. Starmer has shown his true colours now, the man is dangerous. It seems to me certain values and principles which used to underipn our country have gradually become diluted during our lifetime............ and the dilution continues.

The "freebies" situation has arisen again and again. Surely the time has come for these "free donations" to stop entirely ? MPs are taking enough of a salary, plus expenses on two homes, to provide their own "quiet spaces for children to study", to buy their own tickets for whatever they choose to go see, they don't need "designer clothing". If regular earners can find the money for stadium tickets to see their football teams or their favourite groups, can buy their own clothes, pay their own utility bills then so can MPs earning upwards of £92k. They are not celebrities but are elected by the people to work for the people so unless this stops, there will always be the stink of corruption rising from the HofP and will prove, beyond any lingering doubt, that MPs are morally bankrupt and out of touch with reality.

If ever you need to see a politician trying to defend the indefensible this is a prime example. Instead of answering the obvious he just tries to deflect the question with a load of waffle that does not answer, and to try to defend his obsession with free stuff he falls back on the usual "They were within the rules".
