What about all the other politicians? Politicians from all parties take “freebies”so how about talking about all of them. It should be banned completely.Look at the corruption in the last lot. As for things like OBE’s , I saw the CEO of the company I worked for given the OBE and the workforce thought he was a complete idiot. He got the position because his father was a mentor to the people that bought the company, he was also mates with Boris! It’s known as Other Buggers Efforts, the workforce pulled out all the stops to support our Armed Forces in a time of conflict. We worked around the idiot in charge and workers wrote to the local paper, when the OBE was given, to explain it was the workforce pulling together that earned the award. People should be honoured for good work within the community but not because of who they know or for political ends.
