Debutantes are definitely from the UK , but from the past and for only the upper classes and aristocracy. It was literally the debut of young women into upper class society.
Homecoming always follows an away football game the previous week. Hence, the team is coming back home. It is also intended for previous graduates of the school to come back “home” to attend just the football game. It’s supposed to be a way for them to see fellow graduates they might not have seen in a long time. However, I’m not sure it really plays out that way.
Thanks for the insight! Yes, it definitely wasn’t always that way when I was in high school, so I appreciate you sharing. Homecoming was always the most fun game of the year though!
Thanksgiving (in North America) an annual national holiday marked by religious observances and a traditional meal including turkey. The holiday commemorates a harvest festival celebrated by the Pilgrims in 1621, and is held in the US on the fourth Thursday in November. A similar holiday is held in Canada, usually on the second Monday in October. It's unfortunate that a lot of the old family traditions have faded. I have good memories from that.
Always my favorite Holiday - not just for the sumptuous meal but remembering to take that time to be thankful for all our blessings and enjoying family before the craziness and pressures of the Christmas/ New Year holidays.
In Canada it is to celebrate the Harvest and nothing to do with the US Pilgrims. In fact it started in Canada in 1578 and it's the second Monday in October (being further north Canada's harvest is earlier than in the US)
Tailgate is the back opening of a pick up truck that can be opened and made into a shelf. Tailgate parties began with food and drink prepared on pick up truck tailgates.
The couple you hope you don’t accidentally become holiday friends with being reviewed by the couple you do. But on the matter of end of year meals: Is Annie aware the tradition here on New Year’s Day is to have a massive steak pie? (That you’d ideally pre-order from a butcher shop)
I was a high school teacher, and prom in all of the California and Colorado schools where I taught was very different than your experience. It was always at school and very few people hired any sort of limo. Everyone dressed up, of course, and we hired a professional photographer to be there at school, but that was as fancy as it got. The students did go out to dinner before the dance, though. Parents usually were the ones who drove if it was Junior prom since not all kids had their drivers’ licenses yet. Senior prom involved more students borrowing cars and driving themselves. After-prom parties were started at the end of my career by parents who were worried about their kids going off on their own and getting drunk after prom. I retired about ten years ago.
The term 'Prom' was completely unknown when I weas at school, however on leaving primary School ( circa 1959) we had what was called the Qualifying Dance. I remember my Parents going into debt so that I could have a new Kilt to wear. The Dance itself was only in the specially decorated school hall and was mainly Scottish Country Dancing that we had been practicing for months.
Ah ... Thanksgiving. As an American I can share this with you ... probably the most traveled time of year where families will travel all of the country to be with each other to share in a time of Thanksgiving. Happily, it is not a religious holiday. Home cooked foods are the norm ... though, these days, many people buy store bought ready to go food. Sad, really. Menu sample: turkey, stuffing, candied yams, roasted potatoes, some sort of hot vegetable, family salads, pumpkin pie or apple pie or pecan pie. And dishes the "Mom" made. Love your channel. Love the UK!
Brit here living in the US since the 60's. Annie should know that Homecoming is for previous students to return for a football game. Didn't tailgating start with people dropping the tailgate on their truck in the parking lot and setting a grill on it to cook? It's just more sophisticated these days. Thanksgiving comes from the feast that the Pilgrims and Indians had to celebrate the corn harvest. It has nothing to do with Christmas, it just comes the month before. Obviously I'm old 😂 and when I attended school in the 60's (sophomore to senior) I don't remember spring break, for my children either, it was just called Easter break.
Hey! In Americans’ defense, the Pilgrims and Native Americans feasted for 3 full days during the first Thanksgiving. We just try to eat as much as they did in only one day! 😂
Once upon a time in the US many families drove "station wagons" which, unlike SUVs with an upward opening rear door, the station wagon rear door folded down. Football goers often set up a picnics on the "tail gate". The key difference ...today is a often a drunk fest versus the old day's small adult picnic as alcohol was forbidden on university grounds ...and in public as a general rule.
Some folks call Thanksgiving the beginning of the "Festival of Eating" which ends at the stroke of midnight at New Year's Eve. Then when folks have recovered from the New Year's Eve hangover they make New Year's Day Resolutions, go on a weight loss diet, and join the gym. LOL. Love your videos guys. Keep 'em comin.
They were mates who met at RADA. Josh now has his own channel ( joel wood) and has mentioned lives with his boyfriend , Keegan ( former rugby player) in Yorkshire. Lia married and runs a property development company with her hubby ( I think their channel is the property couple) . Love your channel
Our family & friends always prepare homemade foods for Thanksgiving including homemade cranberry sauce (cooked) & cranberry relish (fresh). No canned goods here. -I believe that’s quite common unless persons are no longer able to prepare food or cannot afford the cost.
Well, living in Canada I am aware of all these US events - but quite frankly if I still lived in the UK I would not have thought I was missing much not to have them there!
Hi there. At my school we had the senior dance which was a formal (posh frocks, suits, some kilts) dinner with speeches by the rector, awards, special mentions,an address by the head boy and then head girl . This was followed by a ceilidh and disco. Very special but no special cars, we all just piled into various parents cars.
Joel and Lia are hilarious 😂 We had prom back in 2001 for the end of school. Had it in a big venue and we were together with some other high schools in my town. By the time my younger siblings had prom they were holding them in all the fanciest hotels in Edinburgh costing a fortune. Its turned in to the Oscars now 😂 PS French toast with HP sauce 👌😂
Originally in America Christmas wasn’t celebrated at all. It wasn’t until the 1870’s that it was celebrated widespread. Thanksgiving was the major celebration. Cotillion is southern, I grew up in the Northwest and live in the Northeast and neither have it.
Originally in America, the Puritans actually outlawed Christmas. They thought it encouraged drunkenness and debauchery. Not sure what the penalty was. Dunking in a freezing pond, the stocks, prison? Fun guys those Puritans.
Spring break seems to be a US east coast phenomena. I grew up on the west coast in southern California near the beach. Spring break meant a week off from school (and often Easter). Sometimes people travel, but not to go party, and there's no place even in southern Calilfornia known as a beach party destination during spring.
First, I really enjoy your channel. I've followed along on your journey. I'm from north CA and our homecoming was such a fun event in high school. It was when the returning alumni would come back for the homecoming football game. Yes, usually played the same team each yr that we hoped to win. We had a parade of floats built by each class on the field and crowning of the queen and etc. then you went to the dance. Now I believe the dance is a different night and they dress like they're going to the PROM! We all didn't have limo's back then, but I did rent a limo for my daughter and her friends.
Love your channel! My husband and I moved to Brasil in ‘99 for four years with his corporate job. Our best friends were a Scottish couple who were fifteen years older and had boys back in UK boarding school.....so much fun and learned so much. Our friends were Scottish, British, South African, Canadian. This episode sooooo funny about prom, homecoming, tgiving, spring break.....lol
I grew up in rural Maine, so our prom was at our school, nothing fancy… we did have great masquerade balls at Halloween, though. Our homecoming was more about football: floats, bonfires, and my hometown has “homecoming” every August where all the school reunions happen during the same weekend.
Another fun video, thanks. It is interesting how many comments about how annoying Joel & Lia are, when in fact their videos are meant to be fun, tongue in cheek, sarcastic British humor, having a laugh at themselves and Americans. It is not meant to take them seriously. They are basically playing stereotypical pompous British roles…..they really are funny if folks lighten up and see the humor.
Very interesting to see what Brits think of our US customs. One they didn't mention - and it may be because it is not widespread in the US - is the Grad Party. I had never heard of it in CA or MI, but when we moved to MN, everyone here throws a huge party for their HS graduate. Some families go all out even to the extent of doing house renovations, etc. The really stressful part for the parents is that you don't have any idea how many people are going to show up - no RSVP. I am SO glad my kids are past that!!! Anything like that in the UK?
My friend in Scotland says they don’t have a graduation party or ceremony like we do in the U.S. with getting our HS diploma. I thought that was sad because students worked so hard & many years to earn their diploma.
So sorry, I won't be watching this one. I can't tolerate those two. You two yes...all day, but not them. Best of luck for the week, and looking forward to another video.
Thanks for watching! We appreciate the feedback! ❤️ You’ll like next weeks. Home tour and I think the Santa steam train as well. We’ve been working hard on getting everything together so tried a quick video this week. You win some and lose some 🤣
I've said it before and I'll say it again. I love you two. Always happy to see your videos. Oh, and we did have a history of debutantes. The were done away with by our late Queen who wasn't a fan of them. EDIT. Whilst we don't have eggnog, we DO have Advocat, which is similar. Try a snowball, which is a slug of vodka in a tall glass, 4 times the amount of Advocat and topped up with lemonade. Coincidentally, I had a couple yesterday whilst decorating the tree.
Yeah, there are a lot of events in the U.S. that are celebrated big over there, without a doubt. The weather like you guys touched upon is another valid point. Plus the fact, I don't think the costs of football (what American's call soccer) costs anywhere near the same as what it does over there, and the high demand for tickets. If I remember correctly, Thanksgiving had something to do with the political history in the U.S. don't know if it's being grateful for living in the perceived free country and having what they have? Interesting video. 🙂
Thanksgiving was a celebration of thanks to the Native American who brought food to the pilgrims way back in the 1600 and they also taught the Pilgrims how to grow some of the food.
I'm very glad I grew up in England in the 1970s when there was no Halloween, no proms, no mobile phones, no CCTV and none of the other stuff described in this video. I think I would have liked the extra school holidays in USA.
Yes, me too. The way Halloween is celebrated here now is just something else that has come over from the USA the same as Proms. We just used to have an end of year disco in the school hall and it certainly didn't cost our parents the huge amount of money that Proms do now.
We have looked for Eggnog but can't find any here in Scotland -supermarket said they had it last year but it didn't sell. Strangely, it was fairly easy to get when we lived in Singapore. We will just have to make it as we need it for our (Christmas Vacation) moosehead glasses !
I went to an all boys grammar school - no prom for us! But we did have a sixth form leavers party with the local all girls school. I dont recall much except we stopped to watch England loose to Argentina in the 1998 World Cup….. damn Beckham!
I work with Americans and to be honest, Their shear lack of knowledge of anything outside the USA is staggering. A lot of what happens in America is very superficial. Heck we saw the Delhi Lama in India, Three Americans said "who" three Canadians and one Italian said "wow so cool". I am married to a Canadian girl and it still staggers me why she keeps up with her high school friends. I have no clue what the people are doing who i went to school with. Mostly I don't care what they are doing !!!!!
Annie, you'll need to remember the differences in measurements. If you use American cups and follow American recipes you'll be fine but English cups hold different quantities.
This was interesting, thanks guys! I’m a Yank from California and this was the first time I’ve ever heard of cotillion ball (I actually had to look up the spelling! 😅) and agree with Annie that that is a Deep South thing. From my experience, Homecoming was not at all about former students coming back: it was all about the dance after the home football game. There were definitely no older students coming to the dance! And, I think of Spring Break as a TOTAL college age thing - not high school! So, you were wild, Annie! 😂 This was entertaining! Annie: you MUST experience the joy of a car boot sale!!! (My family is from Scotland so I grew up knowing about them) - maybe that could be a future vlog! ❤
Yes. I grew up in many regions of the US, and it’s only a big thing in the South (though I think NY City may have it, too. My son lives in upstate NY and they don’t have it there).
I’ve struggled with why Americans cause Halloween and Christmas holidays but I’ve come to the conclusion all these extraneous things are because people don’t really get long holiday/vacations .
I've watched your channel from the very start and really enjoy it. This is the first video I've not watched to the end. Stick to what you do best - which is not this!
Prom is a new thing, its totally over the top, costs a load of money and seems to cause loads of stress. I'm glad we never had it. Went to one school reunion, shan't bother again.... Thanks Giving is yours and that's fine, can we have Guy Fawkes Night back? You've run it over with Halloween!
Many thanks for posting that video , yes it was a departure from the norm, but I liked the angle , and here's why :- Winston Churchill is often cited as stating that the US and the UK are two peoples divided by a common language. That much seems certain! We are exposed to US culture all of the time , on social media , films , TV shows. We hear the terms you have mentioned a lot, and i'll bet that we don't all understand what they mean, their relevanance or their history. It's good to know what these familiar terms are actually all about and not be ignorant of them. My nephew earlier in the year went to his Prom, not sure if a limo got hired or not , (if it was I doubt very much it was a 20 metre long pink Hummer !). In a shop the other day I heard a local say both "my bad " and "I'm good" ("Gen Z" by the looks of it) , its possible they did not know these terms came from across the pond, next time i'll ask . I have friends across the pond who had some amusing cliched ideas about how we lived over here, a visit or two over here sorted that out. In many ways our "recent" cultures have been blending for some time, to what degree warrants more study. Perhaps in the future Churchill's atributed quote may need to be updated to "two peoples divided by a common culture" . The question I guess remains , is the bias more East to West , or West to East?
Lol, Zach silently thanking all the stars for the move that ensures no 30 yr olds at the leaving dance 😂😂😂😂 Seriously tho, I'm from the Bahamas so, yeah, we know all about American spring breaks. Usually a week of high school kids (mostly well chaperoned but rich and annoying) followed by two weeks of drunken college kids. Le sigh
I think that they totally misunderstand the reason behind Thanksgiving. It is not just about food. Someone needs to look up the history of how & why the USA has Thanksgiving. Cotillion goes back to “debut at ant” days equivalent to being presented at court in England back to the days of “marriage mart” in the Georgian era. In the USA it marked a girls entry in to society.
Fort Lauderdale was the original destination for spring break especially after a Elvis Presley movie was filmed there. I think it may ha been Where The Girls Are. Was crazy for a long time then the city shut it down, started arresting enyone for anything, it's come back somewhat but more subdued.
Joel & Lia have 'split' since then - Joel lives with his boyfriend (a former rugby player) in Yorkshire and Lia & her boyfriend do home buying/refurbing in London I believe. I'm not a fan of 'reaction videos' as it's old news - please don't do any more and stick to original content. Luv ya both though :)
Haha thanks for the feedback! We needed a quick video because next week’s is taking some time!! Wanted to try something new out, but it looks like this is a flop. We live and learn 😉
I find it odd those Brits have amnesia about upselling daughters to come out for future husbands. It was happening as early as the 16th century there. Anyone with land or hopes of money was trained in etiquette and self care to be traded off wearing white dresses to confirm the petal. I wouldn't expect them to understand a north american tradition. When the settlers arrived in both Canada and the USA, they experienced a harsh reality of sickness, climate and different growing seasons. Before they started killing Indian's and pushing them off their land, Indians in some regions actually coexisted, teaching them to farm and prepare skins for warm. Both sides joined together after harvest bringing homemade food's and feasting on game. Combined efforts paid off and the settlers could snub the royals with their bounty and not paying taxes.
from your title lead-in, you do know the Angel of the North isn't in Scotland Aye its The Angel of the North is located on a hilltop by the A1 in Gateshead, in the North East of England. just saying lol
Blimey that was a rough ol' video especially sound wise. Were you two sitting in an empty room? Please don't start doing "reaction" videos because A: 99.999% are rubbish and B: there are literally 1,000's already on line.
No EGGNOG and we might be moving to UK.I don't know,Time to get recipe book out!I'm going to get so thin.Merry Christmas,PS get the Mrs.some nog, please! The price we pay for love!LOL! I know car insurance is high for US drivers how is homeowners insurance please!Think you mentioned company called marsh something! Thanks!Do USA TVs dvds computers work there?
And that's the wonderful thing about living in the UK, we don't have to know anything about America, or it's strange inhabitants, whether the indigenous ones or the very, very weird European religious cast offs we all kicked out years ago for being, well, weird.
@@SimpleScottishLiving always love your videos! If you want to react to more US/UK differences and experiences videos, I’d recommend “Adventures and Naps” (Canadian expat) and “Girl Gone London” (US expat from Florida)
@@SimpleScottishLiving - Joel & Lia?! Not enjoyable at all. Whereby, your kind excuse of being "just young" to explain how immature & annoying these dull narcissists are, might be a wee bit over generous. From their appearance in the video they both admit to being "10 years on from their Prom"!? So they are not children, & probably too old to be "young adults" either. Treating the vacuous twits J&L as children, might actually be disservice to your own much smarter kids, who could easily have made a much better video on a similar topic all by themselves... Ho-hum.
@@etinarcadiaego2259 calm down. "Annoying and not enjoyable" *to you* does not equate to everyone. I also found them amusing up to their moving on to other things.
@@MrNathansdad - Just calmly pointing out that there are two polar opposite couples in this Comments/Replies thread; so which couple did you find both enjoyable & amusing? It cannot possibly be - both nice Zach & Annie (as evidenced by my positive previous Comments on their great TH-cam channel) - & nasty Joel & Lia (who are about as enjoyable & amusing as dousing oneself in kerosene & setting it alight.) I would calmly & respectfully submit that 99% of people - who are not delusional, deranged, or personality disordered - would agree with that. So what is your problem David? Maybe you needed to calm down & read your own Reply properly through before posting it, to avoid any confusion or ambiguities... Ho-hum.
I wouldn't write off reaction videos just yet, I think it's just unfortunate that this was the first video you reacted to, and lots of people don't like that channel.
Yes, something definitely went awry! This was our first reaction video, and the settings were not spot on. You live and learn! Next video should be a good one though. Home tour and a Santa train, and the week after that hopefully our Costco comparison.
We have had Proms will the big limousines going back to the the late nineties in some parts of the UK. That couple are as thick as two planks. I had to switch off.
Americans seem to be more social people ,we in the uk are definitely more reserved and live in smaller social circles. The Americans have got it right.
😊 I’m an introvert and you don’t have to participate in everything. Thanksgiving is mostly with your family, so that’s not too uncomfortable. Spring Break is just Easter vacation with a new name, and there are no parties in most areas.
Hi! Thank you for the feedback and for sticking with us for 11 minutes! 🤣 We thought we would give this type of video a try...I guess you love and learn! 🤣
Sorry, that couple are just flipping annoying. To be fair, 90% of the rest of the world are well aware of what happens in the US. It’s called watching movies. Clueless, Harvard Blonde, Gilmore Girls, Gossip Girls. There we go. Now US believe Braveheart was a real documentary.
I can't watch that annoying couple. I'm born and bread in the UK, but they talk over each oter, its just babbling and too fast. Dont judge us all by that couple please.
Reaction videos not my favourite. How about cooking...some Scottish recipes. I'd love to see you try this one ... th-cam.com/video/P8j_-fbNO1k/w-d-xo.htmlsi=c0fLsrhlG_X6UCsD

The tradition of formally presenting girls and young women into aristocratic society can be traced to 18th-century England.
They haven't seen anything til they've been to a Quinceanera.
Home coming was for coming back to school after summer break and start of the new football season.
Those two were annoying 😅😅 You two are a joy to watch 😊😊❤️☃️❄️🎄
Very annoying!
Yes, I was thinking of Advocaat and a Snowball when they were taking about Eggnog - I wonder if they taste similar 🤔 I love a Snowball 😊
Nooo, eggnog is a real thing in Scotland. My Mum made it every year. Drunk on Christmas Eve. Eggs, milk, rum, tipped with cream. Delicious
My nan had a waffle maker, we had them for pudding with golden syrup on with ice cream, also fritters with fruit or corned beef.
My daughter attended the Irvine Cotillion. Irvine is south of Los Angeles. The Mayflower Society has had debutante balls in New York City.
Zach ( I’m with you, too much effort 😂)
Wow! I thought tailgating was when someone drives too close to your bumper.😃
That is what it is to everyone in the UK! 🤣
We always had Halloween in Scotland. For some reason it involved bobbing for apples.
@@cato1684😂 Yes, I remember that 😊
We have looked for Eggnog but can't find any here in Scotland -supermarket said they had it last year but it didn't sell. Strangely, it was fairly easy to get when we lived in Singapore. We will just have to make it as we need it for our (Christmas Vacation) moosehead glasses !
Merry Christmas
Thank you so much! Same to you ❤️
I went to an all boys grammar school - no prom for us!
"Delhi" Lama?
?
You're joking, right?
I hope so
How rude. We are not all clueless. And learn to spell.
Great fun! I liked both couples.
So... if turkey is for Thanksgiving , what's for Christmas?
Quite often they will do a ham or a prime rib (roast beef) for Christmas! Good question! 😄
Homecoming, the already graduated students come back to their home town/school to visit, tours of the school.
Interesting! That never happened in my school. I had no idea!
As a substitute for eggnog, try advocaat. It quite similar and used to b3 quite traditional when I was a kid (60’s , 70’s)
Eggnog originated in medieval Britain.
We have debs in ireland which is similar to a prom
Is cotillion a southern thing?
Yes. I grew up in many regions of the US, and it’s only a big thing in the South (though I think NY City may have it, too. My son lives in upstate NY and they don’t have it there).
It was in GA!
Thanks for the feedback! As a new channel, it’s good for us to try different things, but we appreciate what you’re saying :)
If I remember rightly an eggnog is advocaat and lemonade or a snowball. Both alcoholic.
Oh wow! its way worse than you think, some women buy their houses especially with a spiral staircase for their kids prom photos.
Homecoming in Ohio involved alumni and they are invited to the game and halftime homecoming activity.
Many thanks for posting that video , yes it was a departure from the norm, but I liked the angle , and here's why :-
Winston Churchill is often cited as stating that the US and the UK are two peoples divided by a common language.
Lol, Zach silently thanking all the stars for the move that ensures no 30 yr olds at the leaving dance 😂😂😂😂
Seriously tho, I'm from the Bahamas so, yeah, we know all about American spring breaks.
Good fun guys ❤❤😂
Thank you!
Fort Lauderdale was the original destination for spring break especially after a Elvis Presley movie was filmed there. I think it may ha been Where The Girls Are. Was crazy for a long time then the city shut it down, started arresting enyone for anything, it's come back somewhat but more subdued.
'Where The Girls Are' wasn't an Elvis film. It was 'Girl Happy' that was supposedly set in Fort Lauderdale... but was mostly filmed in Hollywood.
That "after Prom party" was it like Animal House? If you guys are old enough to remember that?
Eggy bread and tomato sauce yum !!😊
So good!
@@SimpleScottishLiving Thoroughly enjoyed this video, you've got at least one thumb up (realizes if you only got one thumb it is a failure. Sorry 😟)
Alot of Drinking and Driving bad. Love your vids I'm originally from Scotland now living in the US.
How exhausting it must be living in the USA, it also sounds like a lot of pressure with Populars, Kings & Queens etc very interesting though :)
And I agree with the othed comment, they were kind of annoying 😂
Annie's hair is getting darker and Zack sounding even more Sco'ish! Y'all changing kids.
Haha yes we are!! Slowly but surely.
You shouldn't stand on cranberry sauce. You'll get sticky feet.
Haha yes, this is just our intro of everywhere we’ve been in the UK since moving over. It was quite impressive in person!
Blimey that was a rough ol' video especially sound wise. Were you two sitting in an empty room? Please don't start doing "reaction" videos because A: 99.999% are rubbish and B: there are literally 1,000's already on line.
The hanks for the feedback! Tried something new, but it was a flop. Good to see what people like and dislike.
I have to say you must have picked the worst couple, EVER to do a reaction to. They are so annoying!!!
And that's the wonderful thing about living in the UK, we don't have to know anything about America, or it's strange inhabitants, whether the indigenous ones or the very, very weird European religious cast offs we all kicked out years ago for being, well, weird.
Haha that’s one way to look at it!
Hit a low being sponsored by Surfshark - next will be NordVPN, then worse still Skillshare. Sheesh 🤣
Don’t forget Betterhealth and the brain supplement companies! There’s many more to go around 🤣
Annie you're a super good sport
I have to agree have watched a couple of videos they have done but thought the same as other comments they are annoying but still loved you two 😂
Awe, thank you for watching regardless! Looks like this is a flop. You live and you learn!!
@@SimpleScottishLiving always love your videos! If you want to react to more US/UK differences and experiences videos, I’d recommend “Adventures and Naps” (Canadian expat) and “Girl Gone London” (US expat from Florida)
Second time of asking for a Still Game reaction series 😊 do it guys you will win the subs.
We’re nervous ha! Our first reaction video was a huge flop, but it was a gamble. We’re contemplating giving it another go.
Off topic.......What promoted you to leave the USA and move to Scotland.....Just wondering.....Thanks 😊
That English couple were so annoying 😂😂
Ha we found them enjoyable, just young!
No, the woman in particular had a really harsh voice and kept flicking her hair like a demented teenager
🥴
It cannot possibly be - both nice Zach & Annie (as evidenced by my positive previous Comments on their great TH-cam channel) - & nasty Joel & Lia (who are about as enjoyable & amusing as dousing oneself in kerosene & setting it alight.)
I would calmly & respectfully submit that 99% of people - who are not delusional, deranged, or personality disordered - would agree with that.
Hi! Thank you for the feedback. We thought it would be fun, but perhaps you are right, and the video wasn't the best fit. ❤️
Please fix the sound on the next video and hopefully I'll watch it.
Yes, something definitely went awry! This was our first reaction video, and the settings were not spot on. You live and learn! Next video should be a good one though. Home tour and a Santa train, and the week after that hopefully our Costco comparison.
Just another way of separating you from your money. The UK couple are infuriating, had to stop watching half way through.
Never seen or heard of their channel before, so it was new for us as well!
I must admit to fast forwarding here and there as I also found these two quite irritating.
@@georgedyson9754
Yes reaction are, in the main. boring unless about touring foreign countries.
Proms have started here for multiple age groups, it’s just a money making scam. Just have a end of school dance
We have had Proms will the big limousines going back to the the late nineties in some parts of the UK. That couple are as thick as two planks. I had to switch off.
Americans seem to be more social people ,we in the uk are definitely more reserved and live in smaller social circles.
The Americans have got it right.
Oh God, the US sounds awful if you’re an introvert. 😂
😊 I’m an introvert and you don’t have to participate in everything. Thanksgiving is mostly with your family, so that’s not too uncomfortable. Spring Break is just Easter vacation with a new name, and there are no parties in most areas.
@phoenix
Speaking as an American introvert, yes.
😂😂❤❤❤❤
I like all your videos - except this one. Far too much time spent talking about prom. At the eleven minute mark on the video I left... :(
No worries! I think the general consensus was this is a flop 🤣 You live and learn! Can’t wait for next week’s video though.
I can't watch that annoying couple. I'm born and bread in the UK, but they talk over each oter, its just babbling and too fast.
Dont judge us all by that couple please.
Brits ???
Reaction videos not my favourite. How about cooking...some Scottish recipes. I'd love to see you try this one ...

Thanks for the suggestion, we will look into that. 😄
