if that meal hits the spot (for them) , it has more effect of higher tip than your actual efforts to grab it or your perception of neighbouhood.
even during the actual exchange - make it pleasant on them .. thank them for waiting and share couple words if they're open on it. other night, my $9 extra on a Mcds was just random.. but i recall it was a nice exchange. meanwhile, my two drops to these mansion-like homes was 1.50 - 2 extra.
don't expect it just go your merry way comes when it comes
