Peregrine falcons can do faster than that. And depending on the height of the birds this perspective maybe right like you don't see the clouds moving or the sun moving in the sky when even you're going 300mph.
It has been released on PC too [OUTRUN 2006 Coast 2 Coast] and I can confirm it looks even better. Emulated game looks ok but it has some alpha bugs and renders strange grey line 3m ahead of the car. Oh man This game is superb - one of my OG Xbox favourites.
@@AdamTheMan1993 Not exactly. SP has end of race animations and the course map is different. A few other differences as well, menu design etc. SP is closer to the arcade version.
I wish so much I could get PCSX2 to work on Mac. There is no DX11 support from my understanding why I can't get games like GT4 and Outrun to work. Every other emulator I run works amazing. Dolphin, Open Emu, REDREAM etc.
none of them existed in 2003 but the original fxx that was based on the enzo is from 2005 and they might have considered putting it in the 2006 edition, but who knows
At least the PS2 and PSP version scan still be bought relatively cheaply. The Xbox version costs a small fortune and the PC version is rarer than hens teeth. Outrun 2 for the Xbox is also an option, it has less content but is still worth it imo.
this "ps2 sp" version came out in 2007 as a japan only ps2 exclusive. it's based on 06 but it adds the stage ending animations back from the arcade versions (though they're kind of bugged), and some new remixes of splash wave, passing breeze and rush a difficulty by jun senoue (sonic adventure 2 and heroes composer.) the title screen is also replaced with a low-quality recording of the arcade SP title screen.
@@AuntieAliasing There's also apparently force feedback wheel support added in SP. This is why I ended up buying the PC version years ago, so I could use my wheel with it.

Somehow, this game captured the spirit of the original Out Run.

So Outrun 2006 was basically an enhanced port of Outrun 2 SP PS2 with a campaign while keeping this game's arcade mode as a bonus feature.

Just remaster the game for shits and giggles, gran turismo graphics with outrun physics.
If it is, they have to renew the license. Well, we have the PS3 version of it but it's not working anymore.

It is just like a Sega slower version of F-Zero GX. But F means Ferrari instead of Formula.
