I'm a bit late to your video but really appreciate you doing an update and also showing where you chose to try outdoor plants. I've been growing Agaves from seed for a couple years and this year I finally put some Agave parryi in the ground. Nice to see you trying it in your different climate. Wish the best of luck on them for winter!
Thanks a lot for this update! I hope my agaves are growing as well as yours. It's gonna be their first winter, so they stay at home for now, but I hope to see them outside next year. Fingers crossed for your plants outside! :)
As long as the soil is well drained and they get plenty of light they should do well, make sure to keep them mostly dry over winter. So far one of my outside plants has been eaten completely by slugs, but the other one is doing well. The rest are still outside in pots, but I will bring them in once the hard frosts arrive.
Yeah they seem to be very healthy, I'll have them outside now until the frosts come in autumn, then it will just be the two in the ground left outside.
