Great to hear you guys again! Mike, congrats!
Re the offensive line, it’s positioned to be an upgrade from last season-there are just a lot of assumptions:
    1. Turf toe-which is difficult to come back from in-season-held back Cross last year. This year, he’ll be able to build off his rookie season.
    2. Even if Lucas can’t go, George Fant (do the Hawks lead the league in Fants?) is a much better fallback than Stone Forsyth etc.
    3. Oluwatimi is ready to start, which allows Nick Harris to be a swing guy. If Harris has to start, they’re no worse off at center than the last two seasons.
    4. Haynes is as advertised-the best pure guard in the 2024 draft.
    5. Scouts determined that Tomlinson’s tough 2023 was more about the situation in New York than a deterioration of skills.
A lot of moving parts here, but nothing off the Bell curve. This may not make for a great line, but it is one that can hold its own.

Chris, I gotta push back on that cornerback is stacked. There’s two outstanding talents there and then a bunch of guys. With Spoon and Woolen out of the equation, none of the rest could beat out Walter Thurmond on the 2013 team, much less Byron Maxwell. Plenty of depth, but nothing to worry an opposing DC.
P.S. I look forward to checking out your show with Greg Bell.

Appreciate Mike keeping it skeptical (as a good reporter should) while the rest of us scrambling over each other to get on that hype train.😂 I know your doomsday prediction of 4 wins is possible, but maaaan do I hope we’re closer to 10. I get it: it’s a seedling right now and will need time to grow…. But what if it’s like some bamboo?
