UConn please stay healthy next season. I’m very impressed they made it to the final 4 and almost beat Iowa. They already far beat expectations, imagine with strong and everyone is healthy! Easy money
I'm going to go outside the box a little. I think Paige Bueckers giving God glory in every interview, resonated with Sarah, who comes from a Christian High School. Her transition from high school to college with Paige as a vocal leader of faith, will allow her to find her level of comfort much sooner at UConn. That and the whole team seems to enjoy each other off the court as much as on the court.
@@helgar791 I dont get how these people just overlook Jana. If you watch how fired up she is on the sidelines I cant wait to watch her play for this team. Had she been able to play this year I have no doubt this kid and UConn would be in the final.

A win-win for both Sarah and UCONN. Let's not forget about Jana El Alfy. Huskies have solved the "bigs" problem. Geno will have some interesting looks mixing in Ice, Jana and now Sarah with super talented playmakers and shooters..
You're right... although they still feel a bit light in the paint.. I know the 2024-25 roster is fulltime, but if Geno is prepared to keep Ines and Amari of the rooster, there are some very interesting players in the portal, not least the 2 Oregon players VanSlooten and Basham...
She won't start day one, but might by end of the season. Starting as a freshman post player at UCONN is tough because Geno puts high demands on his post players. Remember that UCONN also has Jana el-Alfy who was tearing it up in WC play before she got hurt -- she benefited greatly from arriving at UCONN in January prior to her freshman year. I could see Jana, Ice, and Sarah rotating in two spots on the floor. Plus if all the players below are healthy, minutes are going to be a battle. I think only Paige is a "lock" starter. Even Azzi will have to fend off KK, Cheli, Shade and Ziebell as only 3 of those 5 will likely start. Ziebell may be a better 3pt shooter than Azzi at this point. Here's the real truth. Sarah's personality is laid back. There's nothing loud and or "check me out" in her personality or her game. Two years ago Sarah told Geno she wanted to come to UConn. About a year ago she gave a quiet commit to Geno and the UConn program. Sarah's family and friends however really wanted her to stay closer to home and attend NCar or Duke. This last year really was about Sarah convincing those close to her that UConn was her dream and was the best fit for her. Watching UConn persevere over so many major injuries this and Paige's continued comments about how religious she and many on the UConn team are, combined with Sarah's insistence that Geno and UConn was her choice sealed the deal with her relatives.
Facts I think Paige is the perfect role model on and off the court for Sarah. Going to LSU and South Carolina would’ve not fit her or her family’s character
@@AnthonyTomassi-y3j The parts about telling Geno two years ago that she wanted to go to UConn and reaffirming that UConn was her goal are all true. Everything else is speculation.
UCONN would not have tried to recruit her if they didn't think she would fit into their program. They want motivated players, team plauyers and that's #1. UCONN prepares players to win National Championships. That's why the best players come to UCONN. She's the best player in the country and that can't be disputed. UCONN wins National Championships because it prepares players win them. It's great for their resume (like going to Harvard) and for playing in the WNBA. I still live here and we are a basketball State especially at this time of year. The basketball culture in CT is terrific!

She may not be a starter but if everyone is healthy uconn should be able to sub 10 unbelievable players back and forth without any of them getting gassed.
Answers: Yes! Yes! Yes! Losing Aaliyah to the WNBA is going to be a very difficult matter to deal with. I truly believe Ice is ready to step in and do a wonderful job after learning on the job this season. Can Brady and Strong play at the same time? Absolutely! Both can shoot and if they play at the same time they will create havoc for the opposition. Add to that, Paige, Azzi, KK, Ashlynn and Aubrey, that adds up to 7 and let the remaining players on the roster fight for playing time. Timing for this could not have come at a better time. It has taken away some of the pain from an awful loss in the Final Four game.
Not sure about that, but with her and Paige, along with Fudd, and the #4 recruit, if they stay healthy to me their better than S.Carolina, at least on paper.
