Everyone for decades have looked for a hidden meaning to this song, but it's pretty straight forward.

Personally, I could care less why Billy wrote the song, or what was his influence. All that matters to me is that it is a great song and I appreciate his talent. I've never asked you to react to a song but thinking of his show reminds me of the song RISE bt Public Image Limited or PIL which is Johnny Lydon's band after the Sex Pistols, and PIL is still a band 40 years later. Rise addressed Apartheid in South Africa.

I can still remember the 1st time I heard this song, I was in the Navy stationed in Virginia Beach at NAS Oceana. It was the early 80's in a bar called The Cave.
