I agree Eyes without a Face is his best.
Song without chorus would have been a more appropriate title, but I luv Billy.
Billy wrote this song about his real-life sister who got pregnant and (as was still common at the time) got married. A "shotgun" wedding, because the girl was pregnant and thus "had" to get married. He was lamenting that she felt like she had to get married and he didn't think it would last. Ironically, he's been married and divorced twice (I think), but his sister is still happily married.

Billy Idol (William Broad) was in a band at the end of the 70s called Gen X. White wedding was the feature tune on the second album. Idol later resurrected it. I saw Idol live twice. Steve Stevens is the real musician. I've seen and met Idol here in Las Vegas. He is approachable. He looks good for someone in his 60s.

The real plot of this track is that the singer’s ex has just engaged in a “shotgun” wedding. And he is not pleased about it. In fact there is no actual indication that they have even broken up. So throughout the song, he is questioning her concerning this decision. He also presents the world as an unfair, dangerous place from which, via her marriage, she is basically trying to derive some good from. Or as Idol puts it, she is making an effort to "start again."
Sorry but Billy has said many times he wrote this after his little sister told him she was getting married! He was surprised cause he didn't even know she was dating someone!

Oh, my take is that he most certainly was talking about his own sister all right (or at least the character he's taking the role of). I can't remember exactly the song's explanation from Billy himself, but it was rather dry. Obviously it has more meaning than what he said. My take is way darker and I'm thinking it's much more perverse. I mean, we're not talking about a choir boy here. He is indeed talking about his little sister and I think the character that he's portraying in the song is one of two kids who grew up rough and had to share a lot of beds together (ah-hum), they're both bad kids now and his sister is all screwed up. She's been married before (hence the sarcastic white wedding) but she's so messed up that it didn't work. The brother has been away but hears about her next marriage and shows up crashing through the church window on his motorcycle to tell her she's just dreaming about leading a normal life with some normal guy. His sexual growling throughout is telling her, look, I'm the only one who's suited for you and I'm the only one you really crave. This dream you have is going to collapse and I'll be around when it does because we both know I'm the only one who can understand you. Him jamming the ring on her finger is an acknowledgement of how he knows his relationship with her is destructive, but so be it. Hey! The whole song just steams with sexuality and darkness. I'm just going where it leads me.

Answer: The only lyrical indication the speaker is involved in the relationship with “little sister” is when he asks, “who’s the only one?” & “who’s the one you want?”
Even then, it’s mostly implied in his tone as he sings.
I think it’s like that with most of his hit songs, they’re not really meant to be held up to scrutiny like that, they’re just pop songs.
