creating space is more about using your hp as tank to isolate an enemy away from the team, or if there is nothing between you and your team pushing up so your backline can move up as well..its about moving your big hp around correctly....not really forcing 1on1s, you force 1on1s when the enemy is in your available space or when you wish to take the enemy's if possible :)
its very annoying playing dive tanks in lower elos i like playing ball, winston and doomfist. Im quickly climbing out of low elo to the point where im even rolling the enemy team but as soon as one of those goddamn gold-plat dps dies due to their own positioning "´Hey ball/winston/doom could you switch to an AcTuAl tank, we need shield"
Yeah I made diamond playing only sigma and rein in comp while practicing my ball in training maps and casual until I was able to get to masters only playing ball the latest seasons. So many people don't know how to position, play, or take space without a shield in front of them
@@elapsingmoon4266 The funny thing is that since I play Ball regularly, I don't care if my tank insta-locks Ball. I might even give them a few Ball tips. I've noticed a lot of low rank Ball players don't do enough disruptive roll-throughs that don't involve slam. Slam has a longer cooldown than grapple (10s vs 5s), so it's good to know how to use them separately as well... besides, there are plenty of ball tech to get a slam with no grapple. If that wasn't good enough, these rollthroughs can be positioned where you roll directly through to a mega health pack, then come back with another rollthrough + Slam.
At 8:30 honestly the biggest play in this situation, rather than rolling back and _shooting_ the sig, you can use grapple to boop him way further in, then he almost certainly dies trying to get out.

teaching to eat health packs.... most people don't realize health packs are anything but free, it's not even life gained back really, considering your using time, taking percentage from your support's ultimate's among other things. I would almost never suggest tailoring your game to eat health packs, it's also regaining life you technically lost putting you behind, now you healed sure but your still behind. I almost try to forget they exist even, unless there's no other choice and that's only if I think It'll help me to live and contribute. I think health packs are probably the most understood thing in the game even by the pros. Nothing is free.
cuh if youre on ball you take whatever healing you can get i specifically discourage my supports from chasing me bc i can live on my own with packs and shields, if i need them i come to them for heals

cc is any stun. Sleep, Mccree nade, sigma rock, roadhog hook, brig stun. Stuff like that
CC stands for crowd control. So what the other guy said is all examples of crowd control (a catch-all term for stuns and such in any game)
