Mauga features a kit that is designed to bash through the front lines and brawl his opponents in close-quarter combat, by wielding two powerful chainguns that can either be fired individually or in unison. Ignite enemies with his Incendiary chaingun “Gunny” to burn them when they take enough damage, then finish them with a critical hit from his volatile chaingun “Cha-Cha.” Paired with his Berserker Passive, which grants Mauga temporary health whenever he deals critical damage, he’s a mountain on the battlefield. Stop playing ball 🥱 and start playing a more skillful tank like Mauga 🦾🔫🔫
I just started playing Ball about a month ago after the buffs and I genuinely haven’t had this kind of fun in so long in OW. Tanking still feels like shit especially as ball because of CC, but I feel like actually having the balls to play Ball and keep getting better with him has revitalized my love for this game. He is so damn good right now on top of being probably the most fun hero in the game. Solid time for ball players.
@@gabeitch5578 That's exactly the problem for me, none of the "aim" tanks benefit enough from good aim. I'm not saying it's not important to their gameplay but it's not rewarded as much as aim on characters like Cass, Illari, Widow, etc. I was hoping Mauga would be the one but they decided he would be more fun with autocrit while face tanking.
Unfortunately, Mauga is the aim tank. I really wish they'd rework him to be less of a damage sponge / bot. His guns are awesome, the mechanic of having two independent guns with the burn and crit is great hero design, very engaging. But both of his abilities (Overrun, Cardiac Ovedrive) are so annoying. I mean, Overrun gives him CC immunity while in use, has a hard CC, and is a *6 second* cooldown? WTF?
Just a suggestion, but I think it'd be cool if you could add an indicator next to a players name if they're a pro/streamer when the teams are displayed (especially when they're on an alt, like ML7 in the 2nd game). Tred, Crispy and WMaimone are all pro - would add some insight into the calibre of player you're rolling in your games!
God, are we STILL playing ball??? Can we get a variety video? Please? We want you to play orisa, mauga, or ramatra. The most dynamic and interesting heroes. Please chazm, give us some entertainment. Give us 1 unedited hour of orisa gameplay including the queue and opening of battlenet.
I don’t understand how people genuinely get good and enjoy Ball. I tried several days of only playing Ball and I just couldn’t get it, even with following tips and guides. It’s just exhausting due to how different he plays to other tanks
I mean even if you're going to die in cage it's better to stay as long alive as possible to waste more time from the enemies so that hopefully your team can clutch
it looks like chazm is 1v5 all game and the others arent doing much when u watch him, then u look at stats and see JR and whoever else with way more damage, and then u realize nobody can really tell what others are actually doing in this game until u look at stats.
If you pay attention his attacks are in lockstep with his team. He's not just rolling around. There's a level of game awareness that you don't seem to be aware of.

You play ball by exhausting enemy resources and making sure the enemy back line is always distracted so you team hopefully can cleanup

Ball infact is very safe inside the cage, mines pretty much nuke both the cage and mauga + u dont get put out of ball form unlike sombra hack
