- KhaniKhola Rural Municipality is a well-known rural municipality of Kavrepalanchok District. It is located in the southern part of headquarter of Kavrepalanchok, Dhulikhel. It is also called the "Dandapari area".
It is a Rural municipality located within the Kavrepalanchowk District of the Bagmati Province of Nepal. The municipality spans 132 square kilometers (51 sq mi) of area, with a total population of 14,398 according to a 2011 Nepal census. The population density of KhaniKhola rural municipality is estimated to be 132 individuals per square kilometer.
On March 10, 2017, the Government of Nepal restructured the local level bodies into 753 new local level structures. The previous Phalametar, Dandagaun, Salmechakala, Saldhara, and Milche VDCs were merged to form Khanikhola Rural Municipality. Khanikhola is divided into 7 wards, with Salmechakala declared the administrative center of the rural municipality.
Merging of the Falameter 1 and 2, Dandagaun 3 and 4, Salmechakarl 5, Saldhara 6, and Milche 7 leads to the formation of this rural municipality. This Gaupalika share boundary with Bathan Gaupalika in North, Southern part with Bagmati Gaupalika, Eastern with Mahabharat Gaupalika, and Western with Mahankal Gaupalika.
Taldhunga is a locality in Nepal and has an elevation of 420 meters above sea level. Taldhunga is situated nearby to Khanikhola River (Salmechakal VDC).
