Thanks for doing all this, got my eye on a used Yaris and I want something exactly like what you're building. Something in the same spirit of my 82 vw turbodiesel, a slow and unassuming appearance but wicked handling fun delight to drive fast.
Would any of these things you're doing on this Yaris work on a 2010 Yaris Sedan (Automatic)? I think it would be cool to add a few extra horsepowers to my car.
Honestly I'm not 100% sure if they will or won't. I would imagine the intake porting and larger throttle body along with bigger injectors would work. However, I'm not sure how the Automatic ECU would react. Your best bet for a simple boost in power in my opinion would be a header and a full exhaust. The stock exhaust is very restrictive and if you free up that you should be able to get a bump in power that won't freak the ECU, obviously this goes without saying but be sure to keep your catalytic converter, or upgrade to a high flow cat. Just be aware if you do that you will most likely get a check engine light because the factory computer doesn't love the high flow cat. A 2" or 2.25" exhaust should be plenty to free up some power. Again this is just my opinion do this all at your own risk. Good luck on your project!
The best thing you could do would be to get a 2009-2011 Yaris hatchback shifter boot and installed it if you wanted to have something to cover it up. The 2009-2011 Yaris hatchback have a fabric/cloth style shift boot unlike the weird rubber boot the 2007-2008 Yaris Hatchbacks get. You will most likely still need to modify it to get it to work properly though.
Yes I believe it is by using the part I talk about at the 22:55 mark. There are 3 different settings where you can change the location of where the lower portion of the linkage arm attaches and these can be seen at 23:34. I've never attempted it because honestly the shifter is so so good right out of the box. I hope this helps!
@@TheInteriorAutoMechanic Yeh that part doesnt adjust the throw, it just adjusts the cable position, i spoke to them directly and they confirmed they are not adjustable - thanks anyway
Looks mint. I would be most interested in grabbing one of these when I find myself a nice Toyota Echo.
I hope you are able to find a nice Echo! You won't regret getting this shifter I absolutely love mine!

@@earlyriser438 happy to do it! I think you will really like a Yaris if you get one.

Will it be possible to modify the factory gaiter to cover it for "cyvilian" use?

Yes they are. Please message them directly on Facebook.
Are these adjustable in the throw?
