I would suggest one improvement. Start from the oldest sub in the class and work your way up. That is way easier to follow and we can see the improvements.
I appreciate the tips. The video was built this way for searchability. Invariably, when the game releases, I expect people to search for specific ship classes for info. For those with only surface knowledge of classes and ship types. Alphabetical order will be easier to sort imo. Going forward for any further vids, I will take your tips under advisement.

The fastest submarine was actually the Soviet Papa-class, which was recorded doing 44 knots. She actually exceeded her design speed in early trials and ended up ripping off her own control surfaces. Apparently her water intake grills were forced into her water circulation pumps and ground up.
@derpderpson2188 you're correct! The record set by the Skipjacks in the late 1950's was nabbed by Papa, she was fast! Although she is considered a one-off and not a full production sub. My favourites: All of the supply ships, ALGOL, Austin, Charlston, Kilauea ans Newport. For warships it would OHP, Knox, Virginia and Galveston. The latter for her RIM 8 Talos missiles, I love that missile.
The latter half of the CF Adams class were built with the single arm launcher rather than the older twin arm, it had nothing to do with NTU or later upgrades

I hope the Devs are able to rework the flight ops for the LHAs and carriers in the future (something like fleet command), it's a little too simplified for my liking. Also, quite the shade thrown at my favorite missile cruiser to end it, but such is life and budget cuts. Last note, I prefer if the warships were introduced in order of oldest to newest, and grouped by ship type.

So my grandfather served on the the USS AUSTIN I don't which refit they in the game but when I showed him the ship in the game he said when he served they didn't have the gun shields for the 3 inch guns

This was a mixture of in-game encyclopedia for unit stats and armaments (there is a chance of change during early access) so as to be relevant to the game. All other info provided was personal knowledge or general knowledge regarding the classes. Navsource.org is a good site for reference information.
This timeframe with the lack of VLS aegis ships any surface scenario without a carrier will leave the US as little more than targets for the supersonic Soviet missile systems.
Aircraft wise will they have Hornets? I would like to do a gulf of sidra scenario from 1986 and some of the carriers at least were transitioning to hornets.
I don't know if you can pass any comments to the developers of the game, can we have a split screen option, so one screen will have the map and its controls and the other to have the 3d models? And if we can edit the UI for both screens ? The other, can they add counter for casualties on board and if they can recover them? Are we gitting VLS early 2000 ships in a DLC? Great work man, but I love the Russian ships more 😅😊
I can certainly pass those suggestions on! They were along the same line of thinking as my own. casualty count and search and rescue would be amazing. save crew and move them aboard other ships. The separate screen would be a godsend, so we can enjoy the models and watch the combat whilst planning and making moves. My next video at Hormuz Highlights this. when i try to plot a realistic course, without it being a map simulator. AS for ships to come, I know there are a few still to be added over the course, and that if things go well. we will get more fleshed out nations like RN. I do know that i can't wait for modders to make me the ultimate game XD.

I have a scenario in my mind, that I want to create. In this 1999 scenario, the Egyptian navy has four Oliver Hazard Perry-class frigates and two Knox-class frigates (given to the Egyptian navy throughthe 1990s), while the Israeli navy has four Dolphin-class submarines equipped with nuclear-tipped ballistic missiles and Sa'ar 3 and 4-class corvettes. The mission can be played from either side. Hostilities between Egypt and Israel have broken out, and the Egyptian Military Intelligence Agency has information indicating that Israel is attempting to deploy their submarines into the Mediterranean. Egypt's orders are to intercept all four submarines. The Egyptian air force and air defense will provide four to five hours of air cover and keep the Israeli Air Force (IAF) occupied by attacking Israeli airfields. Meanwhile, Israel will deploy its Sa'ar corvettes to assist their submarines in breaking through the Egyptian navy's blockade. Why is the Ohio class not in the game? Didn't they technically participate in the Cold War? As well as the Long Beach cruiser and the Enterprise carrier.
I really hope so. At this stage, the only difference is Forrestal has F4J as its Fighter. Which is less capable than the F14a for interception. I want there to be a clear difference in launch rate.
I'm coming over to this game from command: modern operations. With an attention to detail fans refer to as 'autistic'. Naval warfare just seems to bring out the need for precise attention to every detail. Detail that needs to be modeled out for every ship in the fleet. None of them are ever exactly the same. But aircraft ready times by elevator number? Yeah, it's GOT to have that. Critical.
@@CmdrTyrael The thing I want to see is how the Soviet missile doctrine stands up to a campaign where you fire off everything and then you have to head back to port vs Nato or American CVN ability to resupply and carry on fighting.
It really feels like the soviets have a rather silly advantage, and were given practically non existant aircraft carriers for fun I guess? Hoping for updated ticos, LA flights maybe
In terms of perceived capability, the soviets do appear to have the advantage ship to ship. However, I think if the US leverages airpower properly (and the scenarios try to be somewhat realistic) Then US should be able to find and lockdown the soviets. I also don't think the Soviet fleet will get much better than currently. The problem will be trying to close the distance with the Soviet ships, (without being detected) to use Harpoon. USA will really need to use its fighters, to intercept AShM. US subs will also be quiet and super capable compared in the sensor department compared to their Soviet counterparts.
@@CmdrTyrael The victor 3s can give US subs a run for their money but yes other than that you're right on the subs. As for the air game, I thought about this and have to disagree until the AI can figure the heck out what it's supposed to do with planes. Currently, an AI controlling planes basically seems utterly inept, meaning any advantage that the US hardware would confer is well, meaningless. A human doesn't need any hardware advantage killing enemy planes from what I've seen, since they tend to just suicide themselves lol (@_@) If the AI is ever able to use planes decently, then yes the US advantage should be a nice boon
Admittedly I haven't used airpower a great deal. Only a few scenarios, with minor assets. I do hope the air game is decently fleshed out AI wise. I really crave that 3 dimensional aspect of the combat. managing subs, choppers, air assets and surface assets, really is the dream for me. I just hope we can have a challenge worthy of the effort. new age chess is what i want.
@CmdrTyrael I think that only time will tell, but it's probably possible to come up with a way to make functional AI in the tactical sense-- strategic might be tricky but yeah I hope that the AI is decent at all aspects of the game Making an AI for the dynamic campaign if that's what they're doing must take a lot of resources too, that campaign could be insanely fun if done right
@@TheIceDragon225 It's admittedly difficult to make an AI that is tactically adept but we're intent on making sure whatever 'final' AI we end up with will be a challenging and entertaining opponent, at least on the level of what Fleet Command had.

It really feels like the soviets have a rather silly advantage, and were given practically non existant aircraft carriers for fun I guess? Hoping for updated ticos, LA flights maybe
In terms of perceived capability, the soviets do appear to have the advantage ship to ship. However, I think if the US leverages airpower properly (and the scenarios try to be somewhat realistic) Then US should be able to find and lockdown the soviets. I also don't think the Soviet fleet will get much better than currently.
The problem will be trying to close the distance with the Soviet ships, (without being detected) to use Harpoon.
USA will really need to use its fighters, to intercept AShM.
US subs will also be quiet and super capable compared in the sensor department compared to their Soviet counterparts.
@@CmdrTyrael The victor 3s can give US subs a run for their money but yes other than that you're right on the subs.
As for the air game, I thought about this and have to disagree until the AI can figure the heck out what it's supposed to do with planes. Currently, an AI controlling planes basically seems utterly inept, meaning any advantage that the US hardware would confer is well, meaningless. A human doesn't need any hardware advantage killing enemy planes from what I've seen, since they tend to just suicide themselves lol (@_@)
If the AI is ever able to use planes decently, then yes the US advantage should be a nice boon
Admittedly I haven't used airpower a great deal. Only a few scenarios, with minor assets.
I do hope the air game is decently fleshed out AI wise. I really crave that 3 dimensional aspect of the combat.
managing subs, choppers, air assets and surface assets, really is the dream for me.
I just hope we can have a challenge worthy of the effort. new age chess is what i want.
@CmdrTyrael I think that only time will tell, but it's probably possible to come up with a way to make functional AI in the tactical sense-- strategic might be tricky but yeah I hope that the AI is decent at all aspects of the game
Making an AI for the dynamic campaign if that's what they're doing must take a lot of resources too, that campaign could be insanely fun if done right
@@TheIceDragon225 It's admittedly difficult to make an AI that is tactically adept but we're intent on making sure whatever 'final' AI we end up with will be a challenging and entertaining opponent, at least on the level of what Fleet Command had.

If you want to be noticed by the "algorithm" it's all about numbers these days. The title will invariably change 4 times to keep it relevant. You have an election to thank for that 🫡
