Ok a suggestion , get two plastic mattress covers . When you dress the baby's bed out a plastic cover , then a fitted sheet , then another plastic cover then a fitted sheet . So if he has an accident and you need to change the sheets like especially in the middle of the night , you can remove the top layer and then you have a fresh clean bed :) it was helpful to me , so I thought I would share 😘

If you're breast feeding get GAS DROPS&Gripe water, hands free pump bra, breast feeding pads, NIPPLE CREAM. Also, if your son is getting circumcised make sure you have Neosporin and gauze on deck. Also, invest in a SOUND MACHINE. My son would ONLY get soothed by the sound of "White noise". In the beginning we spent so many sleepless nights. Then we went to his newborn photographer and her studio was very warm and she played white noise to soothe the newborns. My son stayed asleep the ENIRE SESSION. That day saved our lives!!!!! Oh don't forget diaper genie refill bags, baby chest carrier!

Pampers brand is good for newborn and if baby has sensitive skin. However once baby hits 6 months and older Luvs is the absolute best. Coast effective and they hold up great

I would have to disagree. My son is 9 months and when he has on LUVS everymorning we get him out of his bed the entire front of his onesies is SOAKED IN URINE. Also, if he's had it on for 2 hours and I go to change him he's never dry. You can see the pee on his skin. I don't like that. With Huggies and Pampers I find that when I go to change him, his skin is dry... even if the diaper is soaked. Another thing I noticed is that above the diaper tabs below his belly button it always swells with urine...its just gross. Lastly, he always leaks out of the diaper. When I go to pick him up his but is always wet because the pee leaked out on the sides. And with other diapers I just never experience that. I change him a lot more frequently with LUVS so in turn the price isn't all that good of a deal!

I bought the playmate with the piano for my grandson. he is 2 and still has the piano lol and honestly it's not a loud toy it plays like sounds and soothing music. he still plays with it now. you have so many good and needful things for your baby. so excited to share this journey with you and your husband. Nitra not sure if you have a 2 story house, but if you do try to have a basket downstairs with some of his clothes, blankets, wipes, diapers, and etc, it's a hassle going up and down the stairs to get what you need, also if you can get 2 of those boppy pillow one for upstairs and one for downstairs. can't wait to meet your little man.
Hey NitraaB, I'm soooo excited for you 2.....yay!...just a thought for space and storage...Put the 12 month clothes also 6\9 months(onesies, tops, bottoms) away in a bin for the garage or closet to give you room for the things you will need right away(blankets, receiving blankets)....Baby Boy won't be needing the bigger things just yet.....hope my thought helps you...♥
suggestion.. you dont really need a separate space for different sized diapers. I think maybe keep the newborn sizes out within reach and put the other sizes at the very top of the closet. That way you can use those overhead shelves for your blankets which you'll need to be able to easily grab. Those little baby wash cloths are so cute at the beginning, but pretty soon as they grow you'll just grab a regular face cloth! Lol.. but they're cute & fun in the beginning. So excited and happy for you. Remember to just enjoy every moment because you truly do figure out as you go whats best for your own baby. You guys are doing great! Happy Nesting. ☺🐻

use the target giftcards for mom and pop. maybe some nice coffee mugs and get some different teas so you can relax a little bit between feedings and taking care of the baby. since the target cards dont expire just save some for christmas shopping for next year and the year after that. there's no rush to use the cards

OMG... Talk about prepared lol! I can't believe how much you bought in advance. I remember going into labour at 34 weeks and I still had no bottles haha but it all comes together in the end. Even then I donated so many clothes they never go to even wear and I had minimal stuff prior to both of mine been born.

You NEED some Aden & Anais swaddle blankets. They are AMAZING for swaddling...my son loved them up until 4 or 5 months when he started rolling and we had to give up the swaddle. Receiving blankets I didn't use so much.

Great video! I just have one suggestion, try not to open everything so soon because you may not need everything. That way you can take things back to exchange for something else you may need. When my son was a baby, I had soooo many things I didn't use because I had so much stuff. Plus, it will be extra things to wash, and trust me, you will be washing often lol. Congrats on the pregnancy! Can't wait to see the baby : )

As first time parents I know you guys are getting all types of information, advice and instructions which I am sure you appreciate. I will also give you some advice...PLEASE make sure all that beautiful furniture is bolted/anchored to the floor and/or walls. Although it will be a little bit before baby boy is walking, time goes so quickly and boys love to climb which can cause furniture to tip over. Baby proof early. God Bless!
Nitra, will your crib allow for storage? If so, that might be a good place to keep your blankets. I do not recall you mentioning anything about lip care for your little prince. I know it sounds silly, but I kept my baby girl's lips moisturized. You may want to look into getting him some Boudreaux's Baby Kisses to keep his lips from cracking.

I really like pampers for my daughter, when she was first born we were using huggies wipes and she had little almost cuts/rash and I let her pediatrician know. Anyhow point of my story is that I later had come across a story about huggie wipes having I believe it was glass particles. Would love to see a in depth organization on how you did the babies room please.

We got the same play mat your husband wanted lol. It's the best cause you can change it with the age. As far as pampers, Huggies broke my son out, luvz leaked, and most off brand were no good. My baby boy is 16months and we've stuck with using the Pampers brand. The best in my opinion.

My daughter loved the play mat with the piano. And now that she's 11 months she plays with the piano and toys separate.
You never have to many wipes.They can be used for everything.Keep a extra pack in the car.
When ever I have a baby I want to be as prepared as you are 😘❤️
Just get an under the crib tote organizer for the blankets so you can just slide them in as out easily

Great video! I just have one suggestion, try not to open everything so soon because you may not need everything. That way you can take things back to exchange for something else you may need. When my son was a baby, I had soooo many things I didn't use because I had so much stuff. Plus, it will be extra things to wash, and trust me, you will be washing often lol. Congrats on the pregnancy! Can't wait to see the baby : )

As first time parents I know you guys are getting all types of information, advice and instructions which I am sure you appreciate. I will also give you some advice...PLEASE make sure all that beautiful furniture is bolted/anchored to the floor and/or walls. Although it will be a little bit before baby boy is walking, time goes so quickly and boys love to climb which can cause furniture to tip over. Baby proof early. God Bless!

Nitra, will your crib allow for storage? If so, that might be a good place to keep your blankets. I do not recall you mentioning anything about lip care for your little prince. I know it sounds silly, but I kept my baby girl's lips moisturized. You may want to look into getting him some Boudreaux's Baby Kisses to keep his lips from cracking.

I really like pampers for my daughter, when she was first born we were using huggies wipes and she had little almost cuts/rash and I let her pediatrician know. Anyhow point of my story is that I later had come across a story about huggie wipes having I believe it was glass particles. Would love to see a in depth organization on how you did the babies room please.

We got the same play mat your husband wanted lol. It's the best cause you can change it with the age. As far as pampers, Huggies broke my son out, luvz leaked, and most off brand were no good. My baby boy is 16months and we've stuck with using the Pampers brand. The best in my opinion.
