Thank you so much, I was wondering why my breaking wasn’t smooth. It was because I kept increasing the force of the break as the car was breaking instead of holding the break pedal until it came to a stop. Thanks again!
Facts this helped I use to think that pushing the brake slowly to the floor is a complete stop but you don’t have to do that, you could just hold the brake at a point to where your car comes to a complete steady stop
You should also ask the students to look at the mirror before they brake. It's a defensive driving habit. It helps drivers to avert a rear-ended accident situation if the car behind you is following you too fast, at the very last moment you can then predict and do a defensive manouver.
I've been driving for 45 years or so, and just received a little box from my insurance company to gauge my driving and maybe decrease my insurance a bit. I used it for the first time today, and received 100 on everything except braking. I had no idea what I was missing, so your video explains what the insurance company means by braking. It's easing into the stop. Great video. You CAN teach a dog new tricks after all! LOL!
It’s very helpful, and I agreed with stop on time is the most important thing. But my failed my driving test today, my tester said I break too roughly, well I don’t think so, but that’s it, hope he can see your video.
People joking about how he talks, but he knows what he's doing. He's probably used to teaching teens, teens have a short attention span when it comes to listening to teachers talking. How to solve this? Volume and variety in your voice. Make people instinctually focus on your voice.
I'm 37 and this has helped me learn the error of my ways. I've been pressing the brake pedal all the way down all these years. Right now I'm using Liberty Mutual's "Right Track" program to track my driving for 3 months, and at the end if I drive well it saves me money. It is based on 3 criteria: braking, steady acceleration, and daytime driving. I am "excellent" on both acceleration and daytime driving, but my braking is either "fair" or "good". I was wondering why, but now I think I know. I'll be doing this tomorrow on my way to work. Thanks!
Anything I ever need more practice with I always type it in and add DIY to see if you have a video about it. By far my favorite person to watch doing these maneuvers & techniques .
Your advice helped a lot, I'm just learning to drive and I'm prone to pressing the brake steadily to the floor without hold. You changed my perspective & I can't wait to practice this next time 🙌🏽
Thanks for the tip man. I realized what I was doing wrong. I would press on the brake pedal and just before the car stops I press it even harder so I get this little jolt feeling every time.
this video is the best! i got my permit a couple days ago and ive been driving with my mom and my brakes are way too harsh. i realized from your video i shouldn't press the brakes all the way especially since im only driving 15mph in a parking lot. your amazing!! thank you!!
i've been driving at least 13 years and this was still helpful! borrowing a car that is a lot touchier than i'm used to, hopefully with your advice things will go a lot smoother
your pieces of advice help me a lot. I'm learning to drive and today was my first time on the road. I have a lot of points to work on (like how to brake smoothly) but I did really great today.
My favorite part of this video is when you said I rather you brake abruptly because I’m 34 years old and I never ever had a FEAR of braking until NOW. It all started when too many idiots in AZ would just keep braking in front of me for NO reason
Too bad they don't have a "100 thumbs up button" , because I would press it. Your videos have helped me tremendously. I subscribed after the very first one!!
this guy is funny man, he said dont use a wall as a milestone. idk why that cracked me tf up😂😂😂😂 i can just see someone doing that. amazing vid, thank you❤🙏🏽
I don't know why but I really loved this video. I think it's cause he sincerely was helping us out in the driving world. The loud tone wasn't even that bad, it was more engaging and comical. You should be a voice actor. Out.
Thanks alot. Please can you make video how you know if the cars that parked on the road are not close to my right side. I always scare to hit that cars. Thanks
I'm taking my drivers test next week and I have no choice but to use my dad's tacoma. I still have a hard time braking in his car and I'm hoping this tip will help. 🙏🏾
your way of telling is very nice i think i will be successful if i implement this Cause my boss wants a drive like this And I was having this issue for a long time but i didn't know how to do it But you have understood me a little bit and I will try it i think i will be successful if i do it Thank you so much
Can u do a video on how to turn into your lane and not going into the opposite lane? I’ve been driving since last year october and I haven’t gotten any better with practicing driving. Everytime im turning my wheels i turn into the other lane
My dumbass did this. I ease into then push it all the way 😂. I didn’t ease then hold. I thought you had to hold the brake all the way like the clutch but now I know :)
Hey , I have a doubt, so after the car stopped using your breaking method, do you put full pressure on to the break pedal or stay at the same foot position. I am a beginner driver. so hope this question isn't too weird.
I honestly don’t care what his voice sound like. Honestly this was the mistake I made on my first lesson. Part was being nervous but I didn’t do that bad it’s just my gas pedal and my breaks need to be worked on.
Bro everyone is making fun of his way of speaking but say whatever you want he actually helped me drive better thank you very much 🙏
It’s passive aggressive like he doesn’t want to yell but does it anyways😂

i discovered this myself because everyone older always saying don’t ride the breaks like what do they mean when they break the same way

“You see how smooth that stop was 😳 “ 😭😭😭
im scared to have him as a driving instructor bruh, one wrong turn and he’s gonna shout ALVINNNNN
I’d be okay with his yelling, better than my dad’s angry af yelling 😂
Lmao only problem is he’s not the one that played Dave he’s the one that took the chipmunks from Dave lol
Them damn chipmunks.
Here I was constantly putting MORE pressure instead of finding a sweet spot for consistent pressure. Thank you!
STOP YELLING AT ME
He isn't yelling, he's teaching.
My sister yells while I drive, so I stop the car, Sis: why you stop? Me:😠 Ima teach myself.
How old are you?
😂
My teacher yells, why do you all do this

Do you keep pressin it all the way down to its point to come to a full stop ..or just push on it a tad bit
He pushes it until he feels the car can come to a complete stop.
Push and hold
can u teach how to brake slowly for manual car?

And how do you start the vehicle ?
Wait. Does that mean an automatic car is more stressful to handle than a manual car since you constantly have to keep holding the brake?
But alot of new cars have sensitive brakes and gas pedals. Too touchy.
Thank you sir!!
I honestly don’t care what his voice sound like. Honestly this was the mistake I made on my first lesson. Part was being nervous but I didn’t do that bad it’s just my gas pedal and my breaks need to be worked on.
