Absolutely love the way Mark understands the local cuisine. Whenever Kripal mentions an ingredient, Mark mentions the local connection. When Kripal says asafoetida, he said hing. When Kripal says jaggery, the Karnataka remark
Kripal sir ur partnership with Mark is really amazing god bless you both ❤
In all honesty, I could not think of a best host to show Mark around in Bangalore than you. A few years ago when I visited the Belur and Halebeedu temples, we did not hire a guide. We appreciated the work and returned. In the next visit, when a guide explained several details, it made the visit worthwhile. Likewise, he would have relished food otherwise too, as witnessed in his prior videos. With a food connoisseur like you around, his food tour would be worthwhile.
We Tamilians don't have meals for dinner. We prefer tiffin items. Light food before sleep.
That is why in Tamilnadu the Tamil restaurants in the evening don't serve meals you have to visit an Andhra food joint for meals.
Rainy evening , breeze, cool weather Bengaluru and this coffee ♥️♥️♥️
True!
Lovely combo ❤ long waited...
Sir make mark wiens try everything around bangalore ❤ happy to see you introduce such cuisines to foreign youtubers sir❤
Good to see traditional idly recipes and coffee making taken on by the next generation
Amazing vlog by two amazing people. Love from Canada
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
You are making me hungry .. 😁
Two Legendary food bloggers on same video
Good afternoon dear Kripal - Wow yet another vlog with the legend Mark Wiens . This time it’s to savour some unique Idlis at Jagli Thindi restaurant 👌👌 Loved the kitchen tour where they made the Coconut shell Idlis and the Jack fruit leaves as medium to serve their idli . Now it’s time to savour the Idlis . Great explanation by you about the taste flavour profile of the Coconut Shell Idlis with grated coconuts & drizzled with coconut oil 👌👌 Mark was blown away by the Idli 👌👌 Mark knows his stuff extremely well , especially Indian foods 👍 It was a pleasure to watch both the legends in one frame . The combo of the idli with the sambhar was fab and both of you relished it . The next idli steamed in JF leaves had a wobble like that of a Panna Cotta 😀 After tasting a flavourful coconut shell idli , the second one kind of got overshadowed. Nonetheless it made an enjoyable bet along with the chutney & sambhar 👌👌 Next pitstop is at Namma Filter coffee . We usually prefer the Kumbakonam coffee ( my family - I am neither a coffee nor tea drinker ) . You and mark had a gala time to dissect the flavour of all the 3 coffees . The presentation style of the Maharaja Coffee was indeed Royal 😀 That was followed by a Chukku coffee and it reminded me of my late granny who used to make the Chukku concoction during winter & monsoon. Quite a healthy drink 👌 Thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful vlog . Are there more vlogs with MW that’s going to come up ? Take care & God bless 😇 Loads of love and respect 🤗🤗🥰❤️❤️❤️
Hi Rajesh, yes, Mark surely knows his stuff; his research is impeccable and his passion for food, inspiring. We had a great time at both places, tasting and comparing our food notes. Glad you found this watch interesting too. Wrt your query, we have saved the best for the last, at least that's what I think :-), an exhaustive biryani trail. Stay tuned. Cheers!
Hope you are doing well sir?
I am not sure how mark remains so slim with so much food trials 😅
Awesome ❤
I am satisfied seeing u both in karanataka
Your combo is like chow chow bath :) both of you understand food in such a beautiful way :)
😁🙏
Ever tasted kottige? Made in banana leaves?
the way u explain kripal is amazing u making me hungry ❤😋
Happy Eating and Happy Drinking 😄💯❤️👍🏻
I must say service in Jagli thindi is so bad and with time quality as well is reduced. I’d never want to go there.
My usual breakfast joint in the evenings... JP nagar rocks
awesome
Mark and kripal sir❤❤🎉🎉
Haven't you heard of the Sanskrit saying 'Grahanene ardha bhojanam'. It means Smelling food is half the pleasure of eating food.
I agree entirely!
mark has won in expression
Super Food Sir🥘🥘🥘
No Araku Coffee in Namma Coffee menu?
May I know where it is available in Bangalore?
That idly inside coconut shell is kind of inconvenient. They could instead scoop it once and give it inside the same shell.
❤
Kripala please look after all business work
😊👌
In Andhra Godavari district they make idli in Jackfruit leaves basket. It's called Pottiikkalu

*NEVER SMELL FOOD--IT'S A VERY BAD HABIT*
It's food, not a toilet bowl. The absolute state of some of these comments 🙄
Not good. The quality at this place is deteriorating
Certain dishes are exclusive to Karnataka alone. Then I feel sad seeing it being generalised as southern Indian. That's unfair.
If that is the case then many exclusive Tamil delicacies have become south Indian dishes under one umbrella.
We have lost our distinctive identity.
