Then put it in the dryer for 10-15 minute intervals on the highest heat setting. Make sure your dryer is not going to be over 180°F though. Polyester is a plastic and can melt. Even if it's a polyester/cotton blend I would still keep a close eye on it. Do one garment by itself. When putting in washing machine turn the garment inside out. No detergent is necessary.

It depends on the type of knit or weave in the fabric. Some cotton clothes, wont shrink even a bit despite near boiling water. What it achieved was bleeding some colors out.
Some clothing brands and garments are pre-washed so it won’t get much smaller. Some brands do advertise this but it’s probably the case that this one wasn’t 👍
Can you go straight from the soaking in boiling water to wringing and putting in the dryer, or does the extra step of washing in the washer do something?

WABEHD No in the v20.19 update it was patched. Maybe if you find the v20.15 file you can copy and paste it in the UPDATES.fil folder and it might send you to an earlier update

The boiling point of water at sea level is 212°F. Did you sleep through that class? Also, polyester melts at 260°C (that's 500°F).

I read temperature has nothing to do with shrinking garments. I read it's when the garments get wet and tumble it causes the shrinking,
What's the hottest dryer setting regular, medium, delicate, and air fluff.
