I had an uncle years ago and because of taxes and laws in New York State he couldn’t leave most of his money to family members without it being heavily taxed and his wife passed away years before that so he married his own niece who was 11 and before he passed away he was able to redistribute it throughout the family zero tax consequence he also gave everybody large envelopes of cash to this day I don’t think anyone paid a dime of income on the taxes and he even transfer properties to people in Canada so he could hide it more but he was pissed at New York
