Why Does Warren Buffett Love Bank Stocks So Much?!?!

  • Among the more humorous and memorable misquotes of the 20th century was Willie Sutton's apocryphal response to a reporter asking him why he robbed banks: “Because that's where the money is.” But while Sutton didn’t actually say that, Warren Buffett is apparently on that same page when it comes to financial institutions: When Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK-A) (NYSE: BRK-B) gave the details on its holdings this week, half of the biggest holdings were banks.
In this segment of the podcast, MarketFoolery host Mac Greer, along with senior analysts Andy Cross and Ron Gross, reflect on how the investing guru is doing so well with what, at first glance, might seem to be a fairly boring portfolio.

You don't simply buy their portfolio because its not just the company its understanding the valuation and WHEN to enter/exit

You have to substract the cash and stock holdings. OR integrate the earnings of the stock holdings proportional to ownership. On that last bit: In current earnings only dividends are counted (accounting wise).

GBC and Brad only taste great when they're fresh. I like the stocks you all suggest through being a member and am quite excited to see our returns!Thank you!
After watching this video, I simply added more BRK.B to my portfolio. What can you suggest to buy to add more drone and robotics stocks? I have everything on the SA & RB buy and hold lists but I definitely want to get further into those avenues of tech along with AI. Thanks so much!

He sold out of most of his bank stocks now. Either he’s becoming a trader or something has changed.
