The main focus of this course it to, one, help you determine what pathway you want to take in life; and two strengthen your ability to pursue that chosen path. To help you achieve these outcomes, you will study and apply the principles you learn on a variety of topics, including, one, the importance of education; two, learning how to learn; two learning how to learn; three time management. Four, financial management. Five thinking errors, and six developing your talents and strengths.
Throughout each of these six units you will have the opportunity to internalize the principles you are learning in a variety of ways, including, one, peer-to-peer interactions at your local gatherings and family councils.
Two, personal application activities where you take the content you have learned and apply it in some way to your life or to a real life scenario.

PC 101 life skills also combines math and writing into one course. There is a purpose for this which enable you to prepare for more advanced university level math and writing courses in the future.
I will also enable you to apply your learning of life skills, math, reading and writing into real contexts in your daily life.
As you move forward on this new journey keep in mind these words from President Russell M. Nelson.
President Russell M. Nelson: I encourage each person regardless of age to continue to learn, to pursue whatever path will be most valuable to you and your own family. You’ll be blessed as you do this. You will grow academically, professionally, and spiritually as you seek to enhance your education.
I pray that our father in Heaven will bless each of you and your loved ones. I add my testimony that we are all engaged in the work of almighty God. He lives. Jesus is the Christ, this is his church. We are his covenant people. I so testify in the sacred name of Jesus Christ amen.
