This is actually the best type of lock 90% of people. Bike and Scooter locks are designed to stop theft of opportunity, not someone coming by with an angle grinder, lock picks, or any other tools. If you think otherwise then you are entirely missing the point of their purpose.
Thats actually the worst way to lock a scooter especially using that type of lock!!! It only takes seconds to cut those locks. Use a U-Lock instead and lock below the front stem of the scooter where the platform connects to the stem (behind the front wheel). Thats the thick part of the scooter and it would be tough steal.

@COMBO_NK I have seen people use cable locks with e-scooters and e-bikes but I would never ever use a cable as my main lock. I only use cable to lock a wheel and helmet as my main lock locks my bike/scooter. I have a cheaper scooter than your kukirin and I use a folding lock. Folding lock through the wheel, scooter and post. It won't provide as much protection as an expensive kryptonite u-lock but it is lighter to carry. I have a strong pretty expensive foldylock (seatylock) as it a more secure folding lock. I use it on my road bike as the compact size, portability, weight and quality makes it a good lock for that. The lock holder case connects nicely. I actually use a cheaper $30 folding lock on my scooter. I ride in a pretty low theft area. With an expensive scooter, I would look at the folding lock (seatylock/foldylock).

Also ppl here don't understand that bike lock is designed to prevent opportunistic theft (as majority of crimes are impulsive) or taking to police with claim that scooter was abandoned (you get the abandoned thing in some countries).
Honestly just pull up to a grocery store and pop it in a grocery cart folded. Most stores won’t say anything at all, but I do live in Colorado and you can even bring your dog into pretty much every single store lol so having a scooter in a cart in usually no big deal. Segway makes a bag that has a opening for the rear wheel to be exposed allowing you to pull it with the handle that are also exposed. Think smarter. I don’t leave anything out and I live in Fort Collins and that’s a very low crime rate area. Don’t. Trust. Anyone.
That looks like the flimsiest lock ever. It would probably break by just yanking it lol. The correct way is to use the locking holes in the frame near the front tire to tie it to a sturdy metal post using a heavy duty chain + a tire lock with a loud ass alarm. You can even hook the chain to go through the back tire if you want.

That scooter is getting stolen in 10 seconds. I had a much stronger lock cut threw in like 3 min right before leaving work. I learned my lesson. Now i have 2 alarms and 2 gps, a thick u lock and a back up lock and password to turn it on. If someone wants it they need to bring a gun
