Just an additional comment. I admire that you younger guys treat the older man with respect. He is about 20 years my elder and as I have mentioned before I cannot go out like that any longer due to chronic pain issues daily. Hell once in a while a so-called friend will stop here and take me to grocery shop, less than a mile from my home and charge me $20! If I had people like you and your mates here life would be a lot better, however, you take time to let your viewers feel like they are a part of your adventures. For someone in my position that is very appreciated. God Bless and thank you for your excellent videos!

Dennis Morrison Ah Thanks Dennis, best wishes to you too! I adore Webby, I could listen to his stories all evening, his knowledge knows no bounds and is a thoroughly decent bloke. He can’t get out much either these days, but he loves cleaning finds. So we will go round there and off load some stuff for him to clean and have a chat etc. Hopefully you will meet someone that will show you some kindness soon. Respect. Si

@@Sifinds I loved meeting Webby too - seems like a real legend... Reminds me of some 'Great Train Robbery' type guy. I bet he has some stories to tell!
Good to see you're actually good friends and not just treating him like a charity case. You should maybe make a few video's of some of his stories and document them - I'd watch for sure :)

Dennis, I absolutely relate to your comment. I am disabled. I absolutely LOVE history and I live vicariously through Si and his friend's mudlarking adventures. It truly hurts my heart thinking how people who are disabled are treated. It's like we are the forgotten, invisible demographic. In today's society, if you have nothing to offer people, they could care less about you. When I have to go to the pharmacy or grocery store, I have to pay 20.00 also, and even though I pay them so much, they happily take my money and still act like they are doing me a favor. While I don't expect people to cater to my every need, and while I agree that giving someone gas money is appropriate, many times people want that amount of money even though they are going to the store themselves. Anyway, just know you are not alone. In fact, your comment helped me a lot because I felt alone in how I was being treated.
      God bless!

What surprised me in this video is the sheer amount of different centuries in this field!! Iron age, Celtic, Medieval, Edward 1st, Roman, Charles 2nd, and others. To think that they all passed through that field at some point is amazing!!

Wow, amazing finds! The next gold from that field has to be yours since you were so generous with your permission. Would love a video full of John Webb stories. Thank you for a great video.

Well bugger me backwards- what a fantastic video! Thank you! Are the bells usually decorated? Can't believe the Celtic coins 😀 absolutely blown sideways by that- awesome job lads!

Samantha Cotterill Haha. ‘Bugger me backwards’ - made me chuckle! The bells have some decoration but the ‘fish scale’ design is the best
