- A waved bob is one of the signature looks of the 1920s and 1930s. And the hairstyle can make or break a vintage look. Before I started to cultivate a vintage style, the hairstyles of the interwar period seemed almost magical -- I couldn't fathom how women and hairdressers did it.
Since then, I've (sort of) developed a system that works for me -- what I'm sharing now. I hope it's useful!

Aah I finally found a channel specifically about 1930s!
I was frustrated by the lack of 1930s-style-related content on TH-cam -- so I'm trying to fill the gap!
1930s is my favourite decade in art fashion and music history!
Back in the Dark Ages when I was in cosmetology school, we actually had to learn and pass off true fingerwaves...no specialized clips or anything other than a few strategically placed duckbill clips and a gel product. It dried under a dryer and...et voila...the most fabulous waves ever invented by man!!! Even the waves were set in a "c" or "s" pattern, dependent on the length of the hair to accentuate the wave pattern.

oh, you made my day! A few months ago a hairdresser completely ruined my hair, so I had to cut into a pixie. As a 1930's girl, I was gutted. Actually my hair is as long as yours, but I was still insecure to style it. Thanks to you, I feel more confident ❤
