    I absolutely love your painting style! beautiful paintings of your walk. That forrest doesnt look real. Glad everyone is good from the earthquake. Beautiful flowers. I use Golden and Matisse heavy bodies. Both are expensive because I live in Panama and have to get them from the United States. Thanks for a great video.

    I bought a piece of water colour smooth paper, I am so new to all of this I really didn’t know what to do with it, so I will give this a go, I do have some Matisse paints, I definitely think I don’t put enough paint down I am too frugal with it.

    I love watching your process 😍 I bought some acylic paints to try last year and they were horrible and cheap, I really didn't enjoy using them. I want to buy some more expensive ones in the future to try out properly :) I remember when I lived in NZ as a teenager, we had this earthquake that started at 3am and everyone woke up and run into the living room, and my stepdad was just standing there in his boxers, holding onto the tv so it didn't fall 😂 Priorities!

    please show the entire painting process. I have nothing to do but watch and learn. I cannot afford the year of Skill Share billed all at once.

    Student vs professional/artists quality paints- I discovered there’s a downside to the pro stuff for a heavy-handed beginner like me. They’re so pigmented it’s like trying to tame a wild animal. Just the tiniest dab of red-orange and my green-blue went from mid tone straight to jet black, really hard to control. Opacity-wise I definitely recommend experimenting with adding opaque black and white to student grade paints first.

    I've used all sorts of acrylics and I think it's kinda the nature of them to be a bit transparent... Especially any light/medium/fluid body- the Goldens OPEN are especially transparent.

    I enjoyed watching you paint and your painting is beautiful! I would like it if your camera would point in the same direction you are painting. It's a little bit hard to follow you when is sideways or upside-down.

    I’d like to ask if you gesso your paper before painting??

    • @ClairBremnerArt
      @ClairBremnerArt  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No I don’t, because I’m using acrylic paint, after the first layer of colour the paint will seal the paper in the same way that gesso would anyway so it’s kind of pointless to gesso first

    Why varnish acrylics?

    • @ClairBremnerArt
      @ClairBremnerArt  ปีที่แล้ว

      I just prefer the look of varnish, acrylics can sometimes be a little flat and matte when they dry, gloss varnish brings out the colour and it also helps add a layer of protection
