    Your videos are wonderful. I live that you did that market w your daughter and you tried new things and debriefed them honestly. The next market you do could be absolutely the opposite and you’d be left w your jaw in the floor trying to figure it out. Haha. So you just keep adjusting and learning and that, imo, is partly what makes it such an adventure and so worth it. Unpredictable. Thanks for sharing it with us, and for encouraging us as you do. I loved doing a few markets w my mom, but where we were it just didn’t work out for us-such an odd and eclectic group of people and we just didn’t fit in to that scene. But like you said, a market just for artists and crafters would have made all the difference. Wither way, it’s wonderful that you two can make such good use of your talents and also do that together. God bless ya as you keep working w your gifts and abilities! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

    Hi Clair! I loved you sketchbook tour, and totally feel you when you say you sometimes sit down to paint something but have no idea what to paint! I’ve started a weekly livestream here on TH-cam that you might enjoy called ART HANG PARTY!, where each week we do timed drawings of a particular subject (ie. trees, hands, fish, houses, etc.). It’s fast-paced and a lot of fun! They are Thursday’s at 7pm ET (which I think is Friday morning for you), and the replays stay up on my channel so you can follow along at a later date. It’s also a really lovely community that comes to draw together and support each other. I hope that doesn’t sound too self-promotion-y - I’m only mentioning it because I honestly think you’d love it! 🤗💖✨

    Love you! Will you please do a video where you show us the watercolor and pens pencils and tell us what they are. I would like to try but I’m unclear on how, do you use actual watercolor? Is it the pentel brush pen? What brand? Or is it I open so? Watercolor pencil, ink tense? Would love to watch you from start to finish in a sketchbook. 🙏💕

    Your watercolour studies are so nice. Will you run a workshop or course on it?

    Awesome!
    Tip for the gouache - I did the same thing, using one of those Transon paint boxes, exactly like yours. And after about 6 months, using them at least 3x a week, the paint began molding. I tried a few different brands of gouache and all with the same result, mold. But then someone gave me a tip to only use distilled water when painting and rewetting the gouache and it definitely helped! They didn't mold until around 9 or 10 months in. It broke my heart as good gouache isn't cheap and the mold was too embedded, I had to toss the entire thing. I hope yours doesn't react the same way!

      Oh interesting! I have heard of gouache going moldy in pallets before but I’ve never had it happen to me before 🤔 So I will definitely keep an eye out for it

      I’m pretty sure I purchased it online somewhere, maybe from Shien 🤔 It was a while ago but I have seen them around online in a few places.

    Are the pentel brush pens comparable to the jane davenport mermaid markers?

    • @ClairBremnerArt
      @ClairBremnerArt  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are similar but not as juicy as the Jane Davenport ones, you have a lot more control and the brush tip is a lot finer

    Im doing my first craft show in September with my younger sister. Im selling my crochet stuff and she's selling handmade signs. Any recommendations on when I should get started on my inventory?

    • @ClairBremnerArt
      @ClairBremnerArt  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well it depends on how much you need. Like I mentioned in the video, we only added the crochet stuff as an afterthought so we only had two weeks to make as much as we could. For our next market we will definitely start prepping earlier. The toys we made were all smallish and mostly made from chunky yarn, so each one took around 30min to 1hr to make. So I guess it does depend on how fast you create each piece. This market taught us that it is always better to have too many thing rather than just enough 😂

    Is it worth selling the crochet animals? It takes so long to make them..

    • @ClairBremnerArt
      @ClairBremnerArt  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are mostly made with quite chunky yarn so they actually don’t take that long to make ☺️
