@@arunaspaulionis8350 yes its a more expensive model the HD i got the 572,s from china replaced those crappy 811,s as no one makes 572,s anymore only china .
I wouldn't be tuning by whistling into SSB. I would tune using a constant-carrier mode such as CW or RTTY. Wattmeters cannot give an accurate PEP measurement peak to peak of SSB, and give a lower value than PEP wattage. This may cause you to drive the amp harder than you think you are when you tune up.
150mA is max allowed grid current in the ameriton 811, says ameritron, that is done with about 65watt input. that amp would then probably push about 920watt out. by the way, like 3 years ago the ameritron 811hxce was new for about 900€, now they want 1400€ for it, things become crazy expensive. the icom ic7300 was back then new for 1150€, now its for 1300€. tuning would be more reliable, if done in FM rather than whisteling into the mic in ssb, FM carrier is silent to not disturb other people that much.
@@johnmarron1944 TX delay, won’t work with this problem. The overshoot still there no matter what you do you can look up overshoot problem 7300 on QRZ and there’s a good thread on it.
Why did you not use the ARB-704 Keying Interface between the amp and your 7300? The keying circuit in the rig can get damaged or even the amp also can be damaged. Or do you not need a keying interface with a 7300 ?
@@GeanitovIDEAS What is the TX DELAY option set to in your 7300 please. Apparently this option is very important when using an Amp. "Press: Menu/Set/Function . . . then scroll using Multi-Knob to “TX Delay”. Select TX Delay (touch-screen), then choose “HF”. Thanks.
These 7300,s work good with 8011 h i have that same power meter swr meter and 7300 and 8011 works well i put 572,s and it was an improvement.
And I bought an Ameritron AL-811 HD HXCE which already had a 572B lamp from the factory

hi, yes you are right! my amplifier push up to 900w out
What about the overshoot problem with the 7300 hard keying the amp? Have you had any problems with the amp while using this set up?
hi, i did not conect never the alc socket, did not have any problem, its very ok. with 45 w drive its out 800w
Don't forger to go in set your tx delay otherwise you need new tubes in a year .Goole it ..😉

What millisecond, delay setting is best on the 7300 when using a tube amp?
Thanku
hi, i dont know, i use default settings,
Hi are you using any isolation device like arb704 between the radio and amplifier??
no, nothing. just RCA cable
@@GeanitovIDEAS so only 2 connections, 1 rf patch cable and another rca cable. Qsl? I am vu3fsj .
for icom 7300 rca cable to the radio and rca also to amplifier ameritron all811h

Hi Gianni. Hope all good with you. Just saw this video, very good. nice amp, I had one just like it.
Hi Russ ! you had this one :)))). gud ampllifier, i love this!
Can you tell me why not use CW A1A mode for tuning.
No key
@@M70ACARRY Use the Microphone buttons on the top - or switch to FM or RTTY. No way you can tune this amp up properly using SSB and whistling.
@@SWRadioConcepts Hey he had a pretty good whistle just like mine.. However I do use CW for turning, I have the key...
switch to FM for a constant carrier for tuning. cw gives a annoying loud noise to people who do SSB and no need for an extra key for tuning either.
I like this radio, can you use a rm kl 405 with this radio?
Yes. Reduce input power to 10w MAX. Should give 200w out
What is the legal Output in our Country?!
400w
No external tuner?
no. all my antenas are with swr 1:1 , so no need an antena tunner. 73
120V or 220V?
220v
Stick to 600 watts or upgrade the tubes.
yea
