my parents dont believe in me in the gaming career, they want me to do something that will make me "wealthy", but i dont care about being rich i care about waking up everyday and know that im going to work on something i love and have passion for it. life is too short to be working on something that you don't dedicate your heart towards it. i wont stop trying and i hope you dont too
Ya Boy Punk Fan Father: What? No son of mine will play videogames as a job. I will show da wey! Son: NO! PLS FATHER! I DO NOT WANT TO KNOW DA WEY! NOOOOOO!
This is really good video, help out the whole video game industry. What is difference between working for a bank in marketing and working a video game company in marketing? Nothing! Doesn't matter which company do you work for your job functions still the same, so why not work in an industry you like? Is not like if you want to work in video games industry you can just go and get in. No, you will still have to have a degree and maybe have experience, just like another industry out there! Since I live in a Asia country, I can only speak for it. Asia countries really look down in video games industry. They always want you to work in finance, law and medical, always said those are the "best" industries. But I believe video games industry will keep growing and become one of the industry that draw most of the attention in the future! If you have passion in video games and love video games, don't hesitate. The industry need your talent!
Man I cannot express myself how right you are! and definitely for sure in the future the gaming industry will become something to actually work at and the stigma that's attached to us gamers wanting to work in gaming industries would hopefully END!
It's rare for parents to be supporting of a career that involves video games. Man I wish I could live young forever, being an adult sucks. Whoever is still young, really make your time COUNT before becoming an adult. These are real words to live by ✅ And don't hold back or hesitate to make a career into the video game industry even if your parents don't exactly agree with you.
Beautiful video :) We saw how real and passionate the people working at Ubisoft were at the E3 conference and here we see it again. Really get great vibes from you guys working hard on great games and loving what you do. Personally I'm lucky my parents totally supported me studying Game Design and actually kind of suggested it to me as I didn't know what I wanted to do after high school but I knew I loved video games and creativity.
i remember the day when my parents used to force me to study but i realized that textbooks aren't for me , so i secretly started learning game development , made my life's first game and then they were proud of me . Ever since then my mom is been supporting me and always saying that " don't worry you will get it ". However. sometimes my dad gets confused of my wish but he inspires me non the less. The thing is just "Listen to yourself only".
I was studying math with chemistry in University and I knew I was wasting time and money cuz I didn't really love it... I told my dad I wanted to change my program to computer science.... I cried in real tears before he agreed with me...Telling him I want to work in Ubisoft (game company) after university is a really hard pill to swallow :(
I told my parents that i wanted to be a game designer and my parents told me go for it playing video games is your hobby. Then i was so happy that i can be game designer
well I asked my parents.. They said... OKAY.. If you want to do it you can... I am so happy that I can prepare for it... I really want to work at Ubisoft
I went to a college open day (UK college) and I heard they were field testing a Video Game Design and Animation Production course in a year. I told my mum that I should take a year long course and then take the 2 year game course next year and she agreed it was a good idea for some reason. I'd previously planned to do robotics at the college but after 2 years (3 in total) of College I'm going to go to Uni to study Animation. My mum supports me since she went into fine art when she was my age and had to convince her parents so I guess she knew what this meant to me. She's ironically the only one in the family who doesn't play or really respect video games but I think that she wants me to pursue it because she knows I have an aptitude in it and that I find it fun.
" Mom, Dad, I work in video games." Wait, you're saying that you work inside a video game? How did you get inside a video game? Are you guys using some sort of necromancy? :0
i told my dad i wanted to switch my career to video games he was supportive and i told them i want to work for ubisoft i haven't talked to my dad in 30 years
I feel like I was born out of time. I would love it if my son worked in games, either streaming or production or media. Aside from it being a growth industry, I know he loves games and is very skilled with them. Heck, I wish I could do it at my age... VO work would be great! :)
so hard to get into these days, everything is needing a bachelor or diploma to get in. Sledgehammer games told me "While being significantly capable and of high standard in this field of work you have no academic achievements or qualifications for us to be able to comfortably hire you. We're sorry for any inconvenience and wish you luck in finding work in the gaming industry." Most of us can't afford or even have access to those facilities to get the qualifications.
I'm about to start my final year in BSc. Video Game Development and gonna apply for the Ubisoft Graduate Program by the end of this year. Wish me Luck!!
Once I complete my management studies I shall enter in video game industry for sure. It will be like dream come true for me and hopefully it should be the best decision I will ever make. Hope for the best.
I told my mother and father i want to do a career in gaming because i love games especially ubisoft ❤they said yes but i dont know in what field (like programming or level designing etc)
U guys, which exam did u gave CET or JEE? And are these exams significantly important? I want to become UX/UI designer and programmer (app development) but I don't know where to focus, how to prepare :(
What is the big deal with indian parents what will they do if you are happy in doing something parallelly earning money of the same job which they expected?
This video reminded me how my parents didn't like the idea of me getting into this career either. But I made it into Ubisoft and that's what matter now.
if I had the applications bought for me to use the tools I need to make video games like Metal Gear Remake, Metal Gear 2:SOLID SNAKE Remake, and a Splinter Cell sequel, I would be up to the challenge just to show people it’s possible. But I’m too broke to buy these apps. They cost anywhere from $420 - $3000 /year each. The closet thing I have to make a somewhat look alike are things like LEGO world, or Dreams or even Modding skins into games like MGS V to show people what it would look like.
Dear Ubisoft, I'm from India and I want a career in Gaming. I'm still a school student. So, please can you guide me what course should I go for, in order to get a career in gaming. Please also mention that what are the gaming career aspects in India. Thank you. Souradeep Dutta.

I just wish i can be one of the amazing characters in the games before i leave this Wonderful World of mine. I pray to Allah that i will be happy playing games and actually live that way. I hope the gaming industries is getting MUCH MORE IMPROVED than before such as not giving the Good Great Promises to the gamers all over the world when the game itself is launched. Enough of that......mmmm.......a Really Big Thanks for making this video! May success be with you all in the future and always be happy everyday.
Aswin THE GAMER GAMING UNLEASHED pray to ALLAH the one and only god.....find something in your heart and mind that makes you feel happy.....be positive.......don't bother about the haters/negative energy. Smile to the world........

I told my parents I wanted to work at Ubisoft and they said you'll be perfect since I'm filled with potential but always ruin it in the end.
I don't care what it takes someday I will make money with video games. Whether it's with TH-cam or storyboarding, I'll do it.
Only you can stop yourself from achieving your dreams. Don't ever let that happen.

If I hone my skills in communication and writing skills and I'm confident enough about it, I want to work in this industry for video gaming lol
1:14 for anybody who is trying to find the cute Asian girl
[Revo.] Ubisoft is learning how TH-cam works now Lol get a hot girl in a thumbnail
[Revo.] God dammit. Im kinda ashamed. I would be lying that wasnt the main reason why i clicked on this. The video is cool nonetheless though.
Dear Ubisoft,
I'm from India and I want a career in Gaming. I'm still a school student. So, please can you guide me what course should I go for, in order to get a career in gaming.
